Jenna McKenzie Roberts doesn't have time for romance. Juggling the café, her son and a father healing from bypass surgery, the only thing she wants from her ex is a divorce. Estranged lovers, Tar and Jenna Roberts attempt to renew their relationship amid a gauntlet of trials. About the authors
People have asked me why I don’t write about my adventures raising six sons. I have to admit that I prefer to write their stories as fiction because no one would believe the stuff they put me through if I tell it as fact. In fiction I can clean my boys up a little when I like them and make them the heroes of my stories and if they’ve pissed me off, I can make them the villains. It’s been a running joke around our house that mom will put you in her book and kill you off on page fifty, but some know they’re the smelly corpse discovered in the ditch at the very beginning of the story. Heck, it’s not even a threat anymore my grandkids are begging to be put in my books and even telling me how I can kill them off. I mean really, where’s the threat in that? We put the fun in dysfunctional, what can I say? I have long conversations with my children and grandchildren about blowing things up and how to get rid of bodies. The holidays are never boring around our house.
My mini bio: only child, married to my romantic hero for over 30 years, raised six sons, have 22 grandchildren, published 11 books. Oh, and I’m the chairperson for the Pamlico Writers’ Group because no one else wanted it. A member of RWA (Romance Writers of America) and VP of Communications with Heart of Carolina chapter. A member of Kiss of Death RWA chapter and AlLi (Alliance of Independent Authors). That’s me in the nut shells.
S L Hollister aka Sherri Lupton Hollister is the author of two contemporary romantic suspense series The Leeward Files and The Harrell Family Chronicles, and she has just started a third series in the historical, cozy mystery genre called the Applegate Mystery series.
As the mother of six grown sons, with a collection of 25 grandchildren and her own romantic hero of over thirty years Sherri has plenty of characters to choose from when creating her fictional worlds. Everyone knows they can end up in her novels sometimes as the hero, others as the villain and when you piss her off, you're the smelly corpse at the front of the book.
Sherri has served as the chairperson for the Pamlico Writers Group the oldest writers' group in eastern North Carolina for a dozen years, her time as the VP of Communications for the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers is coming to an end, but her favorite job has been as host of a monthly writers' challenge called book in a week. A member of The New Romance Café online writers group, Sherri has published several short stories and novellas with TNRC.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2019After Tar returns from the war in Afghanistan, missing his leg from the knee down, he tries to repair his relationship with his Jenna, his estranged wife, and his preschool-aged boy against the backdrop of a small town inhabited by a full coterie of colorful characters. Tar’s sudden appearance in town rekindles the fire in their relationship, but old rivalries and resentments of family members and residents complicate their reconciliation. The plot gets off to a fast start and events don’t slow down until the very end. It’s an emotional roller coaster as readers root for the reconciliation of the couple, and hope that they can safely navigate the small town dangers that hide in plain sight.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2020Sherri Hollister brings us another amazing story featuring the interesting characters of Leeward.
Focusing on Tar and Jenna, we delve into another layer of the tumultuous air that surrounds the town of Leeward constantly. Jenna has been perfectly happy raising Toby on her own, but now with Tar back in her life and trying to win her affections again, she’s torn between listening to her head and her heart.
Filled with romance, action, and peril, Titanium Blue was a thrilling read that I couldn’t put down! I was as invested in Tar and Jenna’s story as I was in everyone else’s in Leeward, and I can’t wait to start the next book in the series!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2019The third book in the Leeward files was just as good if not better to me as the last of the books. The stories of the characters are captivating and you are kept interested from the start. The plots and twists keep you on your toes. Makes me ready for what more may be coming in the next book from Leeward!!
