Purchase options and add-ons
In the UK, Detective John Steel is investigating the organization who killed his family. When he comes across information that something big is going to happen on the cruise ship Neptune, Steel goes undercover. He has fourteen days to figure out what is going to happen - and to stop it.
In New York, Steel’s NYPD partner, Detective Samantha McCall, is investigating a series of deaths. All seems run of the mill for the homicide detective until they find out that the deaths are somehow connected to the cruise ship Steel is on.
McCall is convinced there is a mole in the department, but can she figure out who he is - and who he's working for? Meanwhile, Steel is running out of options... and the clock is ticking.

Done.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2022This book deserved a five star review but the editing was horrible. I was completely distracted by the use of the wrong word, your instead of you’re, precession instead of procession, there’s probably 20-25 of those mistakes. They broke up the paragraphs strangely so it was hard to see who was saying what. Had to reread at least twice on occasion. Didn’t capitalize last names, especially Steel. If you can tolerate bad grammar it’s a good story. I’ll try book 3 and see if they changed editors.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2021Steel is on a cruise ship and the detective in NYPD is really angry that while she and her team are working multiple homicides he is taking a vacation. His vacation is fraught he danger as he teases out the mysteries surrounding the ship. It was difficult putting this book down.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2020Hidden Steel could be a good book it if was edited correctly. It seems to have been edited by someone unfamiliar with the English language; wrong words used, wrong tenses used, grammatical errors throughout, paragraphs starting and ending in the wrong places. It is difficult to decide who is speaking due to the incorrect grouping of sentences. All of these errors make for a frustrating read.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2020The characters were well developed. The plots were twisty and t. Needs better editing! Took away from the reading pleasure.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2020An amazing mystery and thriller rolled into one fast paced story. Twists and turns on every page, but all the different parts come together at the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read!
Set on a cruise ship this is a high octane novel that will have you on the edge of your seat. If you like James Bond or Bruce Willis then this is for you. No spoilers here, but the protagonist John Steel is a likeable rogue who will draw you in from the start.

3.0 out of 5 stars Marred by errors on nearly every page
Good premis, good characters, sadly nearly every page is marred by grammatical errors, misused words, simply horrific editing if any.... frustrating read.

5.0 out of 5 stars No answers
The 2 books were riveting but the spelling was bad. Sack the proofreader!
I read this book to find out the answers to the cliffhangers in the first book but sadly that was not the case.
There seem to be fifteen books on John steel and if that’s how long it takes to solve the riddles then I am not bothering.
I would have read more of these if each one completed the story as they are well written and numerous.

It's a shame that these books are so full of grammatical and spelling mistakes. For me it became very annoying
