Danger and Fate

When a trip to Independence, CO leads to an amazing night of steamy lovemaking, Gracie tells herself that’s all it is. She is an FBI agent and has other things to think about besides the clan Beta, Cade Norton. Even if her cougar says differently and demands they go back to claim their mate.

After an incredible night, Cade Norton knows Gracie is the one for him. But when he wakes the next morning she’s gone with nothing but a note. As much as his black bear insists he go after her, he won’t chase her.

When Gracie’s case ends she decides to listen to her cougar and return to claim her mate. But it might be too late because everything starts to go terribly wrong. With other agents dying all Cade wants to do is keep Gracie safe, but he has no clue how with a killer on the loose.

To add to the fire, the mysterious man that threatens the Black Bear Clan is no longer happy with sabatoge and other shifters are starting to get hurt. One thing is clear, he is after the Molybdenum, but the question remains why?

I started my journey as a reader but quickly learned how much I enjoyed everything about romance, so I picked up the pen in 2017 and haven't looked back. Writing various genres, paranormal romance is my go-to; however, I do have a few mysteries and contemporary romances under my belt.

My favorite books involve characters that aren't perfect and have room to grow or a good mystery you can't easily solve. With each new book, I keep this in mind and enjoy creating complex worlds where my characters take the stage.

When I am not creating amazing new worlds for my readers to get lost in, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two rescue dogs, Sammie and Jake.

    This book is the second in this new author’s series of the Black Bears of Independence. Cade and Gracie’s story is full of intrigue, action and romance. It was a good read. There were a few questions left when I finished which I suspect will be answered in upcoming books as the main story line continues. My only issue was that some of the transitions from one scene to the next were a little rough. I suspect this is something that will improve with time.

    Book 2 in this new author's series is one I was most looking forward to reading. While Corbin (Book1) introduced us to the Black Bears of Independence, Cade and Gracie's story expands on the shifter world created by the author. Gracie gave myself a character I could relate to due to past personal experiences and her adversion to falling for Cade touched on the same feelings of love I once had. My favorite in the series so far, my only complaint is I wish the books were a bit longer and more in depth, but the quick read leaves myself and other readers wanting to know more! Thank you for a wonderful read Mrs. Hall! Can't wait to see where else you go with this series and beyond.
