A magical heirloom leads to enchanting new love…
Three sisters and one enchanted wedding dress…
When three single sisters inherit their Scottish great-grandmother’s wedding dress, they also inherit the legend that comes with it: put on the dress, look in a mirror, and reveal their future. The dress is more than just silk and lace, for magic has been stitched into the seams of the heirloom. For the MacLellan sisters and the men who love them the enchanted wedding dress promises a legacy of everlasting love if they’re willing to take a chance and follow their hearts.

An enchanted old dress, a magical new love…
Can something old lead to something new?
Jamie is content with her life. Her business as a CPA is going well, she owns her home, and never wants to live anywhere but Vermont, near her sisters. When she tries on her grandmother’s wedding dress is the shadowy man she sees in the mirror her future, or a trick of the light? Jamie may have vowed to stay single, but could the handsome lawyer she’s been dating be “the one”? Then she meets his sexy twin brother, who, with a simple look, sets Jamie’s heart racing.
Caleb has clients all over the world who appreciate his skill as a personal chef. The footloose and fancy-free lifestyle isn’t as glamourous as it seems, and sometimes he longs to settle down.. But Jamie's crystal blue eyes have him dreaming unexpected dreams.
How can Jamie fall for a man who’ll be away more than he’ll be home? Will she turn her back on a once in a lifetime love, or is Jamie ready to embrace the promise an enchanted old wedding dress holds for a new future?

An enchanted heirloom wedding dress and a letter change three sisters’ lives forever as they fulfill their grandmothers last request try on the dress.
Small town girl Kenzie has always been spunky and self-reliant, vowing to stay single. But when an heirloom wedding dress is delivered it sets off events leading to her oldest sister's wedding. The enchanted wedding dress is passed to Kenzie, she has to try it on. After all, it was her Gran's last request. Her reflection shakes to her core. Robbie Burns? Childhood best friend and the occasional borrowed guy?
Robbie has tried for years to stop loving Kenzie. She’s never seen him as anything other than her best friend. But he’s still head over heels in love with her. On their annual hiking trip, Kenzie falls. Just not the way he had hoped.
For the first time Kenzie is forced to lean on someone. Robbie’s patience and gentleness combined with her growing attraction to him, is setting off alarm bells. Robbie would never a change a thing about her, but is Kenzie willing to risk it? Has an enchanted wedding dress revealed Kenzie’s borrowed guy might be the love of her life?

Does an enchanted wedding dress still have enough magic to work one more time?
Her grandmother’s instructions had been perfectly clear: Grace was to take the wedding dress back to Scotland. Grace was the only sister who longed for love and marriage. This feels like a cruel twist of fate she wasn't to try on the dress..
Another letter waits for her in Scotland: Try on the dress at last and look in Gran’s old mirror and then go to Blue Bell Woods. When Grace does, there's a mysterious stranger is in the reflection.
Logan doesn’t ditch work for any reason, not when a past tragedy continues to hang over his head. When he sees a beautiful woman fall into the stream in Blue Bell Woods, he’s there to give her a hand up, it's the girl he's seen before, the one that zapped his heart.
Grace has her career as a nurse practitioner in Vermont. So why is she falling for a man whose heart and home is in the Highlands? Will the billionaire leave Grace feeling blue, or will the enchanted wedding dress weave its magic one more time?

- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2020Meet the MacLellan sisters, Jamie, Kenzie, and Grace – all smart, ambitious, and very single. They’re happy to be so, successfully going about their lives in charming Vermont. That is, until a mysterious package arrives from their beloved “Gran” from Scotland, who passed away. Gran’s antique wedding dress is purported to have magical powers. If an unmarried descendant wears the dress and looks in the mirror, she’ll see her future. That can’t possibly be true. Or can it? Dare Jamie, the keeper of this family heirloom, try it on and find out?
The sisterly dynamics are great in this book, their love and support for one another. Plus, I truly enjoyed how they eat out together, work out, cook in, and drink wine. I may even need to take up fly fishing! When two handsome brothers join the story–one a chef–the fun, food, and romance gets even better. By the end I was totally cheering for the hero. But, no spoilers from me.
This book was a delight to read, and Lucinda has a way of pulling you right into the story. Whether you’re in Vermont or later in glorious Scotland at the family farm, you’ll love experiencing what unfolds for these sisters. Love, family, romance, and magic! What’s not to enjoy? Plus, I adore the cover.
I’ll be reading the next books in this series to find out if the other two sisters try on the magic dress. Five stars for this heartwarming read from me!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2021Beautiful cover! I read the premise and bought a copy right away. I'm one of three sisters, and I loved the witty banter and sibling relationship portrayed in this book. That sisterly bond never dies. The writing hooked me from page one, and I read it over a weekend. I will be investing in the rest of the trilogy.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2019I have read all of Lucinda's books I have read some twice. Lol. Each book has been better than the one before. This is book one in the trilogy. This is about three sisters, their grandma had recently passed away and they traveled to the homestead in Scotland, their father has inherited the farm. Grandpa had passed several years prior and grandma had kept things going. So many memories are made with this visit. Just make sure you have tissues handy you will no doubt need them at times. From tears of sadness to tears of joy. Enjoy.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2020I loved the premise of this book. A magical wedding dress that helps the women of the family find true love. I enjoyed reading the book from beginning to end and I look forward to the others!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2020“Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all”, except this time, the magic is not in the mirror, but is on the onlooker of the mirror, who is to don a specific attire. The seeker is supposed to try on a “wedding dress” and look into the mirror to foresee her prince charming.
The series is a trilogy about three sisters, which makes me think that each book belongs to one sister. The plot of the first book revolves around the oldest sister Jamie. Jamie along with the two sisters Grace and Kenzie visits her grandparent’s homestead in Scotland, after their grandmother passes away. Their father inherits the farm.
Their grandmother leaves them a wedding dress, their family heirloom as an inheritance to the sisters along with a letter and a brooch. The sisters first laugh it off, but out of curiosity, the oldest, Jamie tries the wedding dress just to know if the mirror will show her current date as her prince charming.
But the fate, the wedding dress and the mirror have a surprise planned for her when she is caught unaware between two twins, one who fits her requirements perfectly and the other who stirs her heart. Whom will Jamie choose?
A very sweet romance story, perfect to be made as a rom-com movie. Loved it. And a story which also explores the relationship between the three sisters.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2019The story of an enchanted wedding dress ahh...this story continues to keep you glued to each page until you finish it and then I immediately wanted to pick up Book #2! I would recommend this to anyone who loves romance, happily ever after and a bit of suspense!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2020I was hooked on this book from the very start! The story was very good . I loved that the family as a whole was close not and you could feel that. I got the next 2 books in the series! can't wait to read them!

4.0 out of 5 stars A lovely read.

Old and New: The Enchanted Wedding Dress Book One is the first book in The Maclellan Sisters Trilogy by Lucinda Race. This is an original, heart-warming story- with romance, sisterhood, family bonds, family heirlooms, and a little bit of enchantment. I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading the other two books in this sweet trilogy.
Here we meet the MacLellan sister- Jamie, Kenzie, and Grace who receive a package after the death of their beloved Gran. Inside the box is her antique wedding dress, the family plaid, a brooch, and a letter. They discover a family legend surrounding the dress- that whoever wears it will be able to see their future. It is their Gran’s wish that they try the dress on. But being fiercely independent and staunchly single- will they respect their grandmother’s desire- or will they shrug it off as silly nonsense?
This is Jamie’s story- she is the oldest sister and is the most sceptical of the three, but intrigue wins out in the end- and so the story takes off.
There was definitely a ‘Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants’ vibe to this story, but with its own unique identity.
The story has quite a fast pace, and did seem a little rushed at times. But overall, it was a lovely story. Looking forward to seeing what happens in Book Two.
Thank you, Lucinda Race!
