    Inzen is a Cire warrior strong, loyal, fierce and protective. We met him in the first book and he has suffered much in his life and not from being a warrior. Many of the civilizations in space were stricken with the Red Death a horrible plague. The Cire were hit hard because it took all of their females. Inzen lost his wife and his beloved daughter to this horrible disease. In the first book two of the babies taken from Earth were taken without their mothers. He adopted one and has been a wonderful father to her for over a year. Jade !let her child when her husband was out for a walk in the park he as murdered and her child stolen. She has trained to defend and attack while searching for her child everyday she has been missing. Jade knows the park in the key so she goes every morning too see if she can find who took her daughter. This one fateful morning will change her life forever. She see something abducting two other women with children. She does her best but also gets captured and when she realizes they are aliens she knows these are the same horrible slavers that took her daughter. After almost being so!d to a horribly abusive male she and the other humans are rescued by the galactic authorities. They are going to return the women to Earth. But Jade won't go without her daughter. One of her rescuers communicates with Trevelor the planet where the other rescued humans have settled with their mates. This is where Inzen and Made will meet. Inzen offers to go get her even though she could be his beautiful daughters mother. He doesn't want to give his baby up but he also doesn't want to keep a mother away from her baby. When they meet there is an instant attraction that neither one believes is possible but they can't seem to deny it. They become close on the journey to the planet but anger and some very important misunderstandings threaten to get in the way of their happiness. I have to say this was such an enjoyable experience I loved Inzen and was so happy he found love and a family and Made was strong independent but needed and wanted love just as much. This was more than just a passionate love story. It was a story about family. Watching people who love each other work through any issue and become stronger for them. I loved it it made me smile, laugh and wish I had a Cire warrior of my own to love.💖💖💖💖 I love forward to reading more books in this series please 💖💖💖💖

    I loved Inzen’s character in book 2 and was pleasantly surprised that he was going to get his own story, even though he’d already mated before. I’m very curious what it is about humans that they’re able to bypass all the known rules about Cire anatomy and mating… and I’m beginning to wonder if the Cire really know ANYTHING about themselves or if perhaps humans really are that special. Methinks the former is more likely.

    Jade is an amazing character and if anyone was going to win over Inzen, it would be she. I can’t imagine how terrifying it would be to have my infant daughter missing for a year, but I’m glad her obsessive search ultimately proved fruitful.

    This is now my favourite in the series so far. Jade was a feisty and determined FMC and she fought to find her missing baby girl who had been abducted from Earth by aliens the year before.
    Luckily her daughter has been cared for by Inzen, a member of the crew that rescued the previously abducted human women and babies. Inzen adopted Lily and she calls him Dada, he’s very protective of her and when he discovers a human woman is looking for her missing daughter he’s wary and doesn’t want to believe that Lily could be the missing baby.
    Inzen lost his first mate and daughter to the plague many years ago and he’s now afraid of losing his adopted daughter to a human woman he doesn’t know. But then he meets Jade and not long after that the mate bond kicks in.
    From there the sparks fly between them, interrupted by a number of problems to overcome and of course, the demands of a toddler.
    This was a really sweet story interspersed with some spicy moments. Both of the main characters were likeable and I was really happy to see that Inzen finally received his well deserved happy ending along with a much brighter future for his little family.
    I love that all of the books in this series have happy endings and that characters from previous books are revisited. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
