Gladys & Ed's Big Adventure: Short Story Prequel to Pam of Babylon #14 Kindle Edition
From the moment their plane takes off from JFK, they experience one disaster after another in this prequel to Pam of Babylon #14.
But more than comedy and angst, Gladys and Big Ed begin the healing process they had ignored, grieving for their dead son, Lisa Smith Ford Chua’s late husband, Ed.
As Gladys said in Pam #13,
“Whoever said an old marriage was impervious was dead wrong. It’s the most fragile of all.”
Hopefully, the trip will help propel Gladys and Big Ed toward healing and reconciliation on the roller-coaster that is marriage.
Coming soon, Pam’s Adventures in Babylon, Pam of Babylon #14

- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2020Ed and Gladys,I think will still have some stones to roll over before the playing field of their marriage is on an even keel!!
Hooray for Gladys for being a good sport even when there's murder in her thoughts at the top of a mountain,in a dress, with hose on and street shoes! And freezing cold!! After all, she and Ed are both ill- prepared for being in the southern hemisphere in the winter...but this excursion will be a stepping stone in rebuilding something that once was substantial. Or will it?
All this time I thought it was Gladys that needed to reconcile that she was perhaps the impetus of causing the marital friction! Ed-you wandering eye , try to be a bad boy you! I
But after their gruesome discovery(and we WILL need more to this by golly!), With the resulting quietude, can they truly come together and solve their differences? Or will they be lost??
What say you, Suzanne? Will we ever know?
Grab a quick cuppa,a small snack and have a read...P/

- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2019I've gotten attached to these books by Suzanne Jenkins! She comes up with great books, I've yet to find a story I didn't like! So glad that sheer a constant writer, because her stories never fail to entertain me. Fast paced, likable characters, and to the point. Very high recommendations for all her books!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2022Gladys and Ed take a trip to Australia hoping to repair their broken marriage after the death of their son.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2017A short story with more insight to Glady's and Ed's life away. Well worth the read to learn more about two characters that don't have a huge presence in the series. Excellent.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2018One family and the love, secrets and pain.
It is hard to reason why a successful man could be so deviate and all the people he hurt living such an amoral life.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2019Confusing story when you haven't read anything in advance about any of the previous characters. Other than that it would have been interesting and would have been better yet if it would have been just a little longer
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2022At this stage of the Pam of Babylon game every discerning reader knows this series is nothing more than a good old fashioned soap opera for those who would rather read than watch TV. All the characters are petty, narcissistic, and plainly tstl. Every one of them is selfish, judgemental, and gossiping backstabbers to the nth degree. Not a single one of these people consider monogamy important or faithfulness important. The trading of sexual partners, incest, adultery, and other betrayals are rampant throughout the series. Pam herself is a masochistic Pollyanna and it seems that every single person in her life is a user. It's apparent that she knows this, is hurt by it, yet continues to allow it. The family dynamics of this series is so over the top dysfunctional that I honestly can't justify reading it, except that it's the proverbial train wreck in writing. 🤷🏽♀️ Waiting for the next installment 😂
