Afterall, he orders things from a catalog all the time, why not a wife? She should be sensible and take an interest in his business at the livery stable. I enjoyed this book very much. I have not read books by this author before. So glad I happened on her work! Will be reading more of her books. It is pretty much like other books I tend to read in that it has adventure, intrigue, romance and the presence of Christ as part of the characters life! Without that, it pretty much would be a useless reading for me! She does do a great job of keeping my interest.

A Beekeeper for Christmas is the 25th book in Kimberley Grist’s Spinster Mail-Order Bride series. In it readers meet Bethany Baker and Moses Montgomery. She is 25 living with her grandparents. She agrees to be a mail-order bride and heads out west to meet Moses. Bethany follows in her grandfather’s footsteps as a beekeeper. Unbeknowst to her, Moses dislikes bees. Where she is vivacious he is reserve. She is from the city and he lives rural Texas town. Can they overcome their differences? You must read this book to learn what unfolds.

I enjoyed this wholesome Christian historical western romance. This was my first introduction to Ms. Grist’s works. I found it delightful. Her use of literary devices such as dual POV, dialog, and descriptive language made me smile and chuckle as her lead characters embark on their romantic journey.

This delightful romance involved a heroine who was a beekeeper. The hero is not a bee fan. I enjoyed how the author developed the story so the two worked out their differences. Cute story complete with sayings about bees and honey as well as bee jokes. A fun read.

I enjoy all the spinster bride books but these are my favorite. We get to see this little town grow with each new bride. Learning to find a way to fit, give and take, leads to a strong loving relationship for Moses and Bethany. A really sweet romance that I really enjoyed.
