- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2024Better even than the last book! Could not put down! I was adopted and it really struck home to me. I never had a large family though and it made me wish I had one growing up! But we have one now!! Three married adult children and soon to be 10 grandchildren, one who know lives in heaven.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2016Binge read all of her books last weekend - always enjoy a series based on one family, and was delighted with the characters and storyline. Very enjoyable and similar to the Debbie MaComber series. Great books to read at the beach, on vacation, or just to feel great and feel connected to a nice family. Have enjoyed following the family and their relationships. Highly recommend and looking forward to the next.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2015Have you read the latest book in the Loudon series? Had trouble putting it down. Tugs at the heart strings. You really need to start with Between Here and Heaven and then Lost and Found. Between Here and Heaven is E-book only. Now the books are E-book or paper back. Waiting anxiously for the next book. Cari McKenna and her family come to life on the pages! This could actually be real life situations not just fiction. Read it and you will understand what I mean!! Happy reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2016As the Loudon saga continues, we learn more about the McKenna family and meet some deeply human new characters. The entire series features relatable characters -- smart, kind, flawed, INTERESTING. From the first page I found myself caring about someone I hadn't met before, and the story continues its exploration of what "home" really is. As someone who sometimes struggles with the concept of "home" and the relation of past and present in my own life, I found my heart opening to Race's town and its people. Laughter, insight and tears follow. Great, very human read.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2015Loved this series, loved following the family and seeing more and more of every member. I hope there is going to be more in the series. Lucinda is a wonderful writer and I look forward to each of her books. They make me smile, make me laugh and also make me cry. I feel like I know the characters and can understand the things they are going through. Keep up the great work!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2017The heartwarming opening scene introduces an endearing new character and reminds us of why we love Cari so much. A sweet start to another wonderful story that will keep you reading until the very end, and then have you scrambling for the next story in this delightful series by Lucinda Race.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2015I love this book! I'm only 1/3 of the way through it but had to write a review now so that others will jump on the bandwagon and read it. It is a good stand alone, but I highly recommend that you read Between Here and Heaven (a novella to start the series) and then Lost and Found, the first book in the Loudon Series. You will not be disappointed. The author creates characters to love and admire. I am enjoying this family saga and can't wait to see what happens next in Loudon.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2017As before, Lucinda Race has done an excellent job with the McKenna Family and keeping your interest from the first word read! Can't wait to read the next one!
