Initiation: A YA Fated Mates Paranormal Romance Red Riding Hood Retelling (Wolf Blood Academy Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.1 out of 5 stars 228 ratings

At sixteen, I nearly died. Now, I want revenge.

The Wolf Blood Academy gave me an ultimatum. Attend and take my place in the pack, or my family suffers the consequences.

One bite changed my whole life. Until that fateful moment, no one told me I descended from an ancient legacy of wolves.

Determined to keep my family safe, I enter the Wolf Blood Academy, but acceptance isn’t official until I pass their initiation. They include a series of challenges meant to discover my rank among the classes. The tests should be easy with my genetics, but I haven’t had years of training like the others.

Even with my focus on surviving, that isn’t enough to keep me away from Wyatt Wright. He’s beyond gorgeous and so tempting. I crave him.

But everything in me says I need to stay away.

I will prove myself so that I can take the enemy down from the inside when the time is right.

Unless Wyatt takes me down first.

Maybe that won’t be a bad thing. ♥

Initiation is the first book of the Wolf Blood Academy series. While I enjoyed the plot, the story was trope-ish and reminded me of other academy books I've read. I'm intrigued by the way things ended, but not too enthusiastic about the characters.

I really liked the school aspect. It gave me like a Harry Potter and hunger games vibe. It is a little spicy as far as the romance goes. The history and wolf destiny’s are captivating

I love Diana and Wyatt though Wyatt has orders to kill though he has no idea why . Diana who knows nothing or wolves or the supernatural is more than meets the eye. But why does wyatts father want her dead or the royals and why does her mother keep the biggest secret ever. Find out by reading. Also watch out for the next book which i am very much looking foward to .

Amazing story about a young woman learning of her heritage. Diana doesn't know why someone wants her dead. Wyatt is the young man sent to kill her. Incredible things happen when they meet. I can't wait for the next installment of this trilogy!

The book was entertaining but lacking in flow, character build-up, and plot holes. I don't want to give spoilers, but the hero is flaky and the heroine bland.
