Goddess Curse: A Time Travel, Gods & Goddesses Romance (Across the Ages Book 1) Kindle Edition
A goddess who will do anything for a chance at love. A nineteenth-century young woman desperate to get out of her betrothal. Can a time-traveling locket be the answer, or is it cursed to destroy them?
In 1815 England, Lucy Channing is supposed to marry a man she doesn’t love and longs for a way out of the stifling life of the haut ton and into an adventure. When the ghost of her dead grandmother gives her a locket, and Lucy is whisked forward in time, that is precisely what she gets.
William Godwin is a treasure hunter. At a moment’s notice, he’s off on a private jet in search of an unknown relic or the sarcophagus of an Egyptian royal. But when he meets Lucy, he's torn between helping her back to her own time and keeping her for himself. This hunt promises to be filled with danger, mystery, angry gods and goddesses, and possibly even love, something he believed he'd never find.
But when they discover they've been cursed, there's only one way to reverse it, and that means being separated by time forever.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2023So I needed a change from my racy regency books and ran across this one. I love time travel stories and this one is so very different in the way it began. I love it. I can wait to read the conclusion.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2022I always enjoy having mythology entwined in stories and this was well done. Keeping writing time appropriate is fairly difficult, but more so with time travel. It also would be hard to keep the flow of the story going if everything we're familiar with had to be explained, but there were a few inconsistencies. There were a few edits missed as well, but over all it was well done. I really enjoyed it.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2020Book 1 of the Gods series and I could not put it down! The idea of time traveling in this book is great. The experiences of the main character in another time is funny and relatable and makes you fall in love with her. After finishing this book, I immediately downloaded Book 2 of the series! Another great book written by RaShelle Workman! I highly recommend any of her books for a great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2019I absolutely LOVED this book! My eyes flew across the pages and I couldn’t put it down! It was so much fun to read! It was funny and fun, and beautifully written. And RaShelle Workman knows how to capture the past and bring all the curiosity to life here in the future with her brilliant descriptions. I felt like I was Lucy wondering what all the new and amazing things around me were. I loved the way you feel completely transported to the past and felt the world around me open up within the story with vibrant descriptions and intricately written characters. I felt like I was there experiencing everything with Lucy. I love the fun relationships and funny banter between characters, I found myself laughing out loud several times and felt very invested in the story. And now I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out so I can see what happens next. I loved everything about this book! Will, Lucy, Dashel, Lucy’s grandma and more. This was a fast fun, fabulous read. You should grab yourself a copy right away so you can fall in love with this book the way I did. 🙂
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2020So amazing! I can't wait for more books. Exceptional story and engrossing characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2022Really liked the story and characters until it leaves you without an ending. Just hate that - Great authors know how to tell a story and leave you satisfied right to the end...
- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2022What a fantastic and original story! The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because it basically had a cliffhanger ending. I looked up the other books in the series that said there were two more for $5.98. However, there’s actually only one other book. The third book is both of the two together (as it should have been sold in my opinion). Just purchase the third book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2020I have to admit it I was so confused with this book at first because it starts with Egyptian gods, then it goes to the regency time era, which was fun but I didn't see how it fit with the cover. I had to stop reading and look at the cover and the description. Once I realized this was a time travel book, then I was okay with it, but still a little leary. Once she time-traveled to a modern time New York the book got really good and I found myself reading faster. I enjoyed Will and Lucy's banter and their different thoughts because of their upbringing. Very cute there. But the ending left a lot to be desired. I've read a few books by this author and true to her style she ends book one in what feels like the middle of the story.
