ADDICTED TO YOU is a standalone read with a happy ever after. There is one sex scene and it wasn't that descriptive but more just a mention. No colorful language at all. This story is set in California around San Diego. It starts off with a young couple very deeply in love. He is a surfer dude, environmentalist, great personality and being very easy on the eyes. He never had any plans to have a romantic interest take over his life. He like to surf and have fun too much to get serious. And then he meets Sofia and everything changes. He is totally in love with her and has eyes for no one else. They are planning to marry in less than a week when tragedy hits.

His body washes up on shore from a surfing accident. I was crushed when i read this. I was so sad that I wondered if I wanted to finish the story. The story is not about the two of them. The story then starts to tell the story of Sofia trying to get back to the land of the living. She doesn't know if she will be able to go on without Jake. It has been a year since she lost him when she sees a clean-cut good looking young man panhandling on he side of the road. She is a writer for the beach paper and she is curious how a homeless man can look so handsome. She turns into the mall to get her lunch and a few minutes later he walks in and orders the same lunch she did. She invites him to sit at her table when it doesn't look like any other places are available.

They chat. I don't want to tell very much of this story because it is too good to read it all. But it seems they have a lot in common and she feels a strong need to help him. She "feels" Jake around her giving her advice from time to time and she feels he is guiding her. This is a WONDERFUL story. One you won't soon forget. I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it. You will shed some tears of sadness and some of just being so moved. It will leave you feeling good. A great read.

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 7/23/2020

This was a tender story about two hurting people who found each other. The "bedwarming," though not graphic, seemed premature considering the yet uncertainty of their relationship. Otherwise, it was a heartwarming tale about two charming characters who each had to cope with severe heartbreak in their pasts...including deaths. Karla B.

Ryan and Sofia met under very unusual circumstances. Each had a story to share of losing a partner to unexpected death. They additionally shared an unusual and unexpected attraction to the other. However, Ryan had a horrible life story to share that could keep them apart for ever. Could Sofia find it in her heart to trust Ryan to do what was necessary to clean up his life and maybe develop a lasting relationship?

This is a second chance story that will reel you in. A part of the Saints of San Diego series, Sofia Saint is dealing with a tragedy when Rick enters into her life. Both are dealing with loss and their slow-burn shows how they each come out on the other side with an open heart.
