Blood and Snow: Volume One: A YA Vampire Fairytale Kindle Edition
Lips red as rubies, hair dark as night. Drink your true love's blood, become the Vampire, Snow White. Every thousand years the vampire queen selects a new body, always the fairest in the land, and this time she’s chosen Snow White.
Snow White lives in Salem, Massachusetts with her dad, stepmother, and her cat, Gatsby. Her entire life she's been teased for her fairy tale name, and the fact that her seven best friends happen to be guys whose names begin with the same letters as the seven dwarves.
Everything changes two months before her sixteenth birthday. She's bitten by The Hunter, and transformed into a revenant—not quite human, not quite vampire.
__________
Originally the Blood and Snow series was written in a serialized format. A few years later, I grouped them together. Then I updated them and re-released under a new series title: The Seven Magics Academy. But since I receive at least two emails a week asking where to buy one of the original serialized versions, I’m republishing them. Please be aware these aren’t new and they are serialized, which is why each volume is just .99 cents.
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL FORMAT RELEASED IN THE BLOOD AND SNOW WORLD!
Blood and Snow ~ volume 1
Revenant in Training ~ volume 2
The Vampire Christopher ~ volume 3
Blood Soaked Promises ~ volume 4
*** All four of these volumes have been combined in the title BLOOD AND SNOW. ***
Prey and Magic ~ volume 5
Masquerade’s Moon ~ volume 6
Seal of Gabriel ~ volume 7
Telltale Kisses ~ volume 8
*** All four of these volumes have been combined in the title FATE AND MAGIC. ***

- Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2013I have owned the first four books in this series for quite a long time, but have not had the chance to read them. I decided it was to finally find out what they are all about. The story is a new take on Snow White, one where she becomes a revenant. It starts out with her just being an ordinary almost-sixteen-year-old, with the exception that her parents leave her alone a lot. Her mother died when she was young. Her father remarried a woman that apparently doesn't care about her step-daughter all that much. Sound familiar? Well they have left for a vacation that will last approximately two months and Snow White, yes that is her actual name, is home alone during that time. Thankfully she has some amazing neighbors that look in on her and are her friends. The man of the household is Professor Pops and he had seven adopted sons. Snow learns in this book that she has a crush on one son, Gabe, and that her feelings just might be reciprocated. However, her friend has a crush on him too. What's a girl to do? There is also a hint of someone else that just might be important in this tale. His name is Chase Charming. He's a transfer student to her school and makes a very brief appearance. Not really sure what role he will play in the whole revenant/vampire twist just yet.
It's not a very long story and I have probably already told you more than I should about the plot. I am very curious about where the story is going. I know that there is a queen vampire and Snow White is more than a fairytale in this world, but what will actually happen to Snow White? Is her step mother some how involved in this plot to turn her into a vampire? Will Charming somehow find his way into Snow's heart or is he a bad guy as well? What about Gabe? There's a lot of unanswered questions that I am eagerly starting the next book to find answers to. I really enjoyed this book though and will update you on the series soon.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2012Retelling the story of Snow White, RaShelle Workman's BLOOD AND SNOW is a fantastic start to this novelette series.
An awkward teen living in Salem, Massachusetts, Snow White can't quite live down her fairy tale name, especially since her best friends are the seven guys living next door. Unlike the fairy tale princess, she's clumsy and doesn't consider herself beautiful by any means. But strange things are happening to Snow White. Odd visions keep her up at night, and a trip to Boston will turn her not-a-fairy-tale existence into a nightmare.
BLOOD AND SNOW instantly throws the reader into the story and doesn't let go. The characters are quirky and adorable. I particularly loved Snow White and her relationship with the seven brothers and their guardian. This seemingly happy story slowly builds in the darkness of what, or who, is after Snow White. This novelette is fast-paced, and I read it in two short sittings. The voice is excellent, although I wish the last third had been drawn out a bit more.
BLOOD AND SNOW by RaShelle Workman bleeds with intrigue, and I can't wait to read the second novelette in the series!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2013I just don't care for it, because to me it comes across as a marketing ploy. I personally have no urge to invest my time or money into encouraging this type of episode writing.
That being said, I admit that it's my fault that I didn't notice what it was before I downloaded it. 12 volumes? Really? I don't mind series, as long as each book resolves things reasonably well and doesn't end with a cliff hanger; but 55-page teasers just raise my blood pressure. Maybe it doesn't bother you as much as it does me. So I am basing my rating on the actual content of this first volume, so that you can make up your own mind.
Interesting idea for a story. Easy and quick (VERY QUICK) read. Not listed as YA, but definitely is. Typical teenage angst over self-worth and romance. So far seems suitable for young readers, no strong language or heavy sex. Corny in the extreme, but kind of cute in its own way. Intriquing characters, considering the limits of the story's length. Vampires. Ends almost in the middle of a sentence. (slight exaggeration, here--but you know what I mean).
Even though I kind of liked where it was going, I doubt that I'll read any more 'episodes'. The writing style didn't sufficiently grab me, and it just wasn't long enough to get me sufficiently involved.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2012Blood and Snow draws you in from the very beginning and never lets you go, only to leave you anticipating more! It started out with a bang, and kept hold of me and I didn't want it to end. I can't wait for volume 2!I LOVED IT! I was so happy to find out there is more to the series and look forward with great anticipation to the next installment. I have read other works of RaShelle's and I love this one as much as I love everything else she has written. With Blood and Snow, the whole concept twist of Snow White with 7 brothers is fabulous! I love the idea that hints at the possibility of Snow becoming a vampire is awesome. I feel the concept is very creative and fascinating. I am totally hooked!! I love how RaShelle leaves you on a cliff hanger... and I seriously shouted out loud "NOOO, you can't end it there!!" I love the way RaShelle pulls you into her world of characters, and creates a vivid movie like atmosphere. So RaShelle if you are reading this, Hurry!!! Get the next story out! I can't wait to see what happenes next to Snow!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2012I'm a big fan of classic fairy tales and when I come across books that give a twist to the classics, I'm interested. Snow White is a great story so adding a Vampire element makes it even better. This book will definitely suck you in (no pun intended) instantly. Blood and Snow is only 46 pages long so it's a quick read and will leave you wanting more at the end. I'm not a huge reader by any means but this book had me hooked. I read it form beginning to end in one sitting and was a little upset when it ended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Twist on the Vampire
There are many vampire stories available and it is difficult to find anything original in the genre, but this book has a new twist on the normal vampire tale. Fifteen-year-old Snow White spends much of her time alone and the professor and his adopted sons who live next door have almost become family--almost--because she's recently started to look at the youngest guy, Gabe, differently. She no longer thinks of him like a brother but now hopes he's a potential boyfriend. Then everything in Snow's life gets turned on it's head. A hot new boy starts at school, Snow starts having scary dreams, and then the dreams get a little too real. This is a fast, engaging read that will keep you turning the pages wanting to know what is happening in Snow's life. If you enjoy vampire stories, definitely pick this book up. I'm off to read book two in the series now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story
Good story, but don't really want to pay the same price you'd pay fir a full length book for something that only has 50 odd pages in each volume!
