The Brutus Gate (Bailey Crane Mysteries Book 3) Kindle Edition
Editorial Reviews
Review
From the Author
Three of the 'Bailey Crane' books are inspired by actual crimes. "The Brutus Gate - A Bailey Crane Mystery" (third in the 5-book series - Book 3 of 5) was inspired only by my tedious mind. It is my hope that this bit of information will not stop you from reading the book. Note: There is a natural progression of Bailey's life (aging, loves, circumstances) over the five books in the series, but each book can be read independently of the other.

About the Author
Billy Ray is married to Julie Anne and they currently live on the Sea of Cortez where the sun is constant, the sky is a powdery blue canopy, the people are warm and friendly, and the tides are in and they are out. And, there is 'George,' a bengal cat with a feisty and talkative nuisance factor but forever a lovable bundle of fur.
There is joy in his life along with some memory hauntings, and writing has been therapy for the soul, allowing him the exploration of dimensions within himself that he might otherwise never know existed. Those dimensions are there in his books, simply displayed in their transparency, through his characters and the situations.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2021A great novel by Mister Chitwood.
The story line is engrossing, with twists that yank the reader in a good way. The characters are fully drawn, and the drama of their lives is absorbing and, at times, touching. The action is portrayed well, and the ending is a fine culmination to a great story.
Well done, Mister Chitwood.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2018I have read a few of this author's books and truly enjoyed them and found them to be well-written. Unfortunately, this was not the case for this story. There was too much information about the thoughts and memories of the lead character that often did not lend to the story. There were also many areas that required an editor's expertise.
I do not like writing this review because Mr. Chitwood is a very fine writer.
