He also loves to talk in third person... because he's really that cool. Maybe.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2023The Sea Was Angry by Armand Rosamilia is a fun action-packed thrill of a read. When sea life becomes angry with humankind, they take to the land hell bent on taking out life as we know it. My favorite part is when John and Annie go Gummers from movie Tremors on the creatures, pulling out heavy weaponry to blast a sea monster wrecking through the neighborhood. Also, thought the small-time crime family, smuggling drugs and guns during all of the chaos was fun and well done. Good work and a recommended quick horror book!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2021THE SEA WAS ANGRY by Armand Rosamilia is freaking awesome in the most horrific way. I haven't been this terrified since reading Dead Sea by Brian Keene. As soon as the shrimp boats were pulling up empty nets, I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach. With each chapter, I attempted to convince myself, "It can't get any worse...," but, with every page, the author reminded me what a wicked mind he has.
I love the alternating POV between survivor groups, as well as the details of the onslaught. I admit, I went outside to admire the hill I live on, and counted the miles between my property and the local river, more than once...didn't comfort me as much as I had hoped. Rosamilia has a fantastic talent for convincing readers his monsters cannot be held in his books for much longer.
This is definitely one of Rosamilia's best horror stories!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2020Wicked concept. The Sea Was Angry. This is an apocalypse story dressed up as a sea monster tale.
The story is pretty imaginative. It went where I least expected it. Its not spoilers to say that 90% of this story about and angry sea takes place on land.
If you dig Armand Rosamilia's DYING DAYS books, you will enjoy this twist on a zombie story. The Sea is Angry but you'll be happy to have read this 3.5 book rounded up to 4 for sexiness.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2024What an incredible book. Such a scary plot. Sea creatures attacking humans, devouring the land to get to those on land.

The fishing is bad off the coast of Florida and people are being killed by fish. They are attempting to escape the fish. It all ends suddenly. 😏😮
I would recommend this novella and author to readers of fantasy world 🌐 action adventure thriller novels 🎇👒 2025 🙃🤗
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2021Great book! Kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2024Fish Apocalypse in Florida!
This is my second Armand Rosamilia book that I have finished. Next up is Shake Down. Even though the other book of his I read, Dirty Deeds is VERY different in subject matter, you can still tell they come from the same place. These books are about regular, relatable people put in extreme situations. For The Sea Was Angry, the main characters are facing an apocalyptic event- blackened sea creatures are coming out of the water, pulling in and devouring whoever gets in their way. The sea is literally bringing the land down into it. The main characters, regular Floridians (some who work in a bar, others who make their living in organized crime) have to figure out what to do in this nightmare scenario. The majority of the book is the characters debating what is the best course of action to take to stay alive. You are with them through it in real time, picturing what you would do in their place. This book was short, thrilling, and like the other book I read by Armand, never attempting to be pretentious, or something more. Armand hits the exact story beats you expect in a horror disaster book, throws in a bunch of jokes about Floridians and tells a lean, exciting story.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2020Well done! Fast paced, apocalyptic thrill ride! I was watching it as a tv series in my head. It’s a well-imagined, well-crafted little nightmare.
Seriously, I kind of wish I hadn’t read it right before bed.
Well worth a few hours of your time.

1.0 out of 5 stars This story has no proper ending, it just stops...
Got 90% through the book thinking there will be more to read but no - THE END! SMFH
Just like that the story stopped with not even a hint of closure.
The author obviously didn't care enough about the characters and the actual story as there is no reference to how it started, who started it and what it was!
Oh and who edited this? Blind Freddy!?!
All in all - An interesting idea but lazily thought out and written...
