I love the character of Jill. A strong women that comes off the pages of the book and seems real. Suzanne Jenkins always provides rich descriptions and character development. The novella is a good night's read. Every page I turned I thought I "knew" who was the murderer. I kept changing my mind as I turned the pages. I was pleasantly surprised by the last few pages.

Another page turner by Suzanne Jenkins. A lot of guessing "who did it" but there are a few twists and turns that may surprise you. It was good reading about Jill Zannos again and I'm looking forward to the next Greektown book in the series.

I enjoyed this novella about a female detective and her partner. The story revolves about a body found in a location where she certainly wasn't killed. A lucky piece of evidence was found, leading the detectives to the murder scene. As the story evolves, several suspects are uncovered. There are a few twists and turns before the murderer is revealed. The audience for the book can be almost anyone. There is some talk of sex but no sex scenes. There is violence because there was a murder, but it isn't scary and it's a fun read.

The story was good but because this book is listed as Book 6 in the series, when actually it is the prequel to the series, throws off the rest of the embedded storyline. If you haven’t started the series, be sure to read this one first. And the series definitely reads better in order.
The books have an interesting weave of crime solving and personal stories that make them entertaining.

If I was the author, I would have the book order arranged correctly on the Amazon site.

This is a great murder mystery. All of the characters are great as well as the dialogue. With twists and turns as different perpetrators are identified the story runs to a shattering conclusion as the killer is identified and arrested. Well worth the short time to read.
