The young men and women, the dog and the Haunt that comprise Demon Inc are always on the alert for the next scenario in which they can be useful. Some of them have paranormal abilities, but they all work together to use their training to defeat the scary things.

Trouble is spotted the first day back in school when a group of foreign students bully, terrorize and intimidate students and teachers, constantly disrupting classes. Mike schools them into better behavior, but he needs to know why they are there, who sent them and what they hope to accomplish.

There's a ferocious battle with a pack of shape-shifting, man-eating werewolves that just won't die. And strange things are happening at haunted Alcatraz.

In quieter times, Mike, Mongo and Demon help out at Mr. Rawlins's garage, repairing cars and dealing with some unusual customers.

Then the story closes with the perfect ending.

It's a good thing the Demon Inc. crew don't mind a fight here and there because this latest addition to the series has them battling almost non-stop. More upgrades for Mike, hairy haunts and a billionaire who thinks she rules the world...she doesn't as she soon finds out from a jail cell! The crew also welcomes a new member (a succubus this time) so we'll have to wait and see what she can bring to help the gang. Mike, Demon and Mongo have a great time working at the shop after school and their "network" comments are hilarious. Enjoy the ride with these newest Demon Inc. adventures.

The Demon series has so much to recommend it. Monsters and monster hunters. Romance, sex, high school, and one sarcastic dog. And every book also features non-stop action by patriotic, monster-kicking paranormal warriors.

The Adobe of Darkness again puts Mike, Demon, and the rest of Demon Inc. on the frontlines of protecting America from anti-American politicians, religious enemies of freedom, riotous race baiters, and werewolves. I did say it was paranormal.

If you are looking for a kinder, gentler paranormal story, this isn’t it. This is the kicking ass and taking names paranormal story non-PC American patriots will cheer while reading.

I have read all the previous books many times and this book continues the quality that I expect from Mr. De Leo. Great character development, fantastic action with a continuing rapid pace and introduction of new characters who merge with the current characters with no weird situations happening. I have read this book four times now and I plan to continue reading them in sequence. One of the lucky abilities of the retired bibliophile.

Mike’s newest powers interact interestingly with the newest member of Demon, Inc. Several new twists and an old school showdown lead to a moving finale. Many new possibilities are facing the group, can’t wait to see the next installment!
