Jeannette grew up in a large family, number ten out of eleven children, eight of them being older brothers. She quickly developed a great sense of humor, mostly from necessity. One of her greatest joys is sitting on the porch where they were all raised and hearing the stories from years gone by. Quietly laughing to herself, she notices how they embellish the stories more and more each year.

Storytelling was passed down from her grandfather and mother. Jeannette caught the bug at a very young age. If she didn’t have her head in a book, then she was off somewhere with a notebook, jotting down stories of what she would write if one day she became an author. Although the notebook may have vanished, the stories are still vivid and waiting for the right time to be told.

Despite having an amazing family, there have also been some sorrows in her life, including the loss of loved ones. Over the years, Jeannette has spent countless hours volunteering for different organizations and acting as a caregiver to those dearest to her. As a result, supporting the elderly became of utmost importance.

As she approached a milestone birthday in 2015, she decided to take her passion for writing and blend it with her desire to continue to help others. As she writes her stories, she hopes they touch someone’s life. Within the layers of the romance, the foundation remains throughout and is one that is dear to her; make a difference in someone’s life each day!

In 2016 she met someone who encouraged her to push herself even further and try her hand at spicy intrigue. One year later she has four books in this new series and each one pushing her limits just a bit further.

Like the wind, Jeannette’s life changed directions several times over the years, yet one constant remains: her desire to leave this Earth a little better than when she entered it as she tries to live by these words, Make your mark on the world today as your acts of kindness is all anyone will remember in years to come!

I have officially been a fan of Ms. Jeannette Winters for a number of years now and I no longer read the description of the story before I press the button to buy the book. This started after I "binge read" her "Betting On You" series a couple years back. With this new series Ms. Winters started she has reached a completely different level of writing. This is tricky because I LOVED the "Betting" series and if another book was published in that series I would think I had gone to Heaven. Ms. Winters already knows about my obsession but another hint never hurts.
Now...I read the first chapter of "Southern Delight" and I stopped dead in my tracks. Okay...this book was going to cut directly into my damaged heart but I picked the book up again and made my commitment reading deep into the middle of the night. This series of books are literally ones where once you start you might as well just get really comfortable because stopping would be foolish. You won't sleep so just keep going. This book had layer upon layer of suspense filled drama mixed with the signature "Jeannette Winters" romantic charm. Holy Cow can that woman write romance. That said I would also have to say that Ms. Winters is also showing that she has serious writing for amazingly detailed and well executed suspense. Details were rushing at me with rapid fire speed. The story was unfolding at a pace that at times I felt I was not going to be able to take a breath. This was a seriously complex book with our cast of characters being taken deeper and deeper into this mystery started two books ago. Does it bug me that I am left hanging...no because I had such a wonderful romance woven within the fabric of all the chaos of the intense drama. For me it was the most intense of the three...and I thought the other two were intense. If you have not read the previous two books please read them first because you will find yourself more fully invested into these characters who have now become family for me. This is how spectacular this writing is folks. I want to know these people, I want them as friends, and I want to know what happens with the previous characters. I am humbled to call Ms. Winters a FB friend and I am honored to be able to read this quality work. She should be incredibly proud of this work as it is spectacular. Amazing Job! denise bailey

Jeannette Winters totally blew me away with this one!! Southern Delight book #3 in the Southern Desire Series is a winner in my book. Bailey Tasco our heroine in this book is dealing with having gone through surgery for breast cancer and having a breast removed and losing her hair. Bailey is full of insecurities about how her body looks now and not wanting to let any man get close to her. Enter Don Farrell who 6 months earlier Bailey had a hot encounter with at a mutual friend's wedding. Since this encounter Don can't get Bailey out of his mind and even though she has been avoiding him, he is still interested and very determined to pursue Bailey. Now another wedding is coming up and Bailey is the Maid of Honor and Don is Best Man and Bailey cannot avoid seeing Don again. I really encourage you to get this book to see what happens when Bailey and Don meet up again, can Bailey resist Don,can Bailey and Don reach their HEA? What about Bailey's decoy boyfriend Kevin? Throw in the mystery from the previous 2 books(which I encourage you to read) and totally interesting supporting characters makes for a great read. I really liked how Jeannette Winters tackled the subject of breast cancer, the feelings associated with it, the physical aspect of this horrible disease and the feelings a woman goes through, just not the physical changes but also the emotional toll. I really liked how this story had Bailey realizing she IS a desirable woman! Thank You for tackling this subject with realism Jeannette.

We met Don Farrell in Book 2 Southern Exposure with his best friend Mark Collins. After he and Mark finished Hannah’s Homestead, he once again focused on work. He couldn’t get his mind off Bailey Tasca, Hannah’s best friend. What no one knew was that they spent 1 week together and it is the first-time Don thought about someone that he could care about. But, he tried to reach her for the first couple months and finally gave up.

It is now six months since Bailey talked to Don. He is in her dreams and she even plays some of his voice mails just to hear his voice. Bailey doesn’t want anyone to know that she had cancer and a single Mastectomy. Her hair is gone and her confidence is “gone” She would prefer to crawl into a hole and not come out.
Bailey believes she will never be the same and is “damaged goods” and will never let Don see her again. One problem, Hannah and Mark are getting married and she is the Maid of Honor and Don is the Best Man. She decides that she needs a boyfriend and Mark volunteers his brother Brian Collins (Marines) to pretend to be her boyfriend.

Even with Brian being a buffer, the chemistry between Bailey and Don is off the charts. Don, however, now has a target on his back from the same group that was in Texas then Savannah Georgia and now in Buffalo, NY at his HQ. He must stay away from Bailey to protect her.

Find out if there is even a chance for Bailey and Don, or is it in everyone’s best interest to walk away.

What Didn’t Work:
Same as book 1 and 2: (A) Too much inner dialog. A lot of it should be spoken to the person in front of them. (B) Same as book 1 & 2; is it possible that Brian, Mark’s brother, a Marine, can work this case with Mark when there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight? (C) Typo and grammar errors.

This book truly hit home for me as I have had family who has suffered breast cancer, some survived, and they found it hard to accept what was happening just like Bailey does. A big heartfelt thank you to Author Jeannette Winters for writing real life issues with such finesse and fact, yet still writing an amazing story.

There should be an option for more than 5 stars as i would definitely give her more but have to settle for 5
