Elemental Outcast Games: FIRE (Magic Blood Academy Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 69 ratings

♥ Can love alter destiny? ♥

My name is Harla Flint, and I’m an elemental. My magic comes from the monsters within the peculiar forest called the Shade Rasa, not that I completely understand how. That's because I've been in juvie for murdering my parents, even though I have no memory of how it happened.

Still, attending the Magic Blood Academy Juvenile Detention Center has one perk. Kai Laramie. Too bad he's a jerk and a bully.

When the popular Elemental Outcast Games accepts my application, I agree to compete in the latest season. So does Kai.

The odds of survival are minimal, but I’m no quitter. Besides, we have two months of PR and marketing for the show before it begins. That gives Kai and me time to get to know one another.

Did I mention he’s gorgeous, mysterious, and makes me want to lose my heart?

If I win the games, the show promises I’ll be free to start over. But when it comes down to it, will I have what it takes to defeat the only person who knows the real me?

Can love alter destiny? I guess I'm about to find out.

Let the Elemental Outcast Games begin!

Absolutely wonderful!! Love how the pieces begin to fall kinda in place right before the book ends. Lol Cliff hangers at their best. Can't wait for the rest of the series!!! A must read.

The book was way too short, but it was good! It remind me a little of hunger games. Since the games are to the death. But the monsters and magic make it better. I have high hopes for this series. I can't wait to read it. If you like death games, magic, monster, and chosen protagonists you'll love this book or short story. I hope the other books are longer. The length is the only reason I gave a four star review.

Another hunger games style of books with a few tweaks. Mother Nature taking an active hand in the results is new.

I loved reading Magic Blood Acadamy and didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. I loved the way the main characters Kai and Harla have great chemistry but also the unexpected twists that happen in the story too that made it so I didn’t want to put it down. I love how RaShelle Workman is able to bring not only her characters to life but the world around them too. So excited to see what happens next!

Possibly good premise just barely long enough to introduce the characters but not long enough to be invested in the story.

Harla and Kai are entered for the EOG games. Why are they necessary? What connection does the shade have with them?
    An interesting start thr series.

This was a great book to read, couldn't put it down.
This story was a good introduction to the main characters and a solid basis for the storyline.
It made you ask a lot of questions to forward what could, would happen.
If you like a fast pace, exciting story that keeps you wanting to read on, this is the book to read.

Entertaining in a macabre way. Interesting characters and "game show". Could have had more details on rules and outcomes. Enjoyed enough to read the next book.
