    I love this series of novellas by IH. They are so short and so so satisfying. I laugh, cry, swoon and get a great HEA. Logan and Becs were perfect opposites attract.

    This is book 1 in a series. I actually read book 2 first and finally got to #1 this weekend. Such a fun and sexy series. Can’t wait to read about Jake in book 3.

    The Gist: Becs has a one slight stand with sexy QB Logan. When she tries to leave his ph apt she runs into Logan’s sister- aka the person Becs just had her interview with for a new job. In order to save face, Becs convinces Logan to play along to a fake relationship, until she can secure the job. Of course they both catch feelings and, well, you have to read it to find out.

    Loved that I got a coloring page to go with the story. So rad. I used pastels to do this art. So fun!

These two end up having a one and done night but as she is sneaking out she sees her soon to be boss, Jenna. Now she and Logan try to make Jenna, his sister, believe they are in a relationship and it's not just a one and done.     This was on of my read again books & I enjoyed as a break from the longer romance genre books I recently have read. Sports romance is one of my favorite genres & this one won't disappoint. It a quick, fun, easy to read book with a light to medium level of sexy, steam. Definitely recommend not missing Logan's transformation from player to a sexy book boyfriend & his HFN with Becs.

    Ivy Hunt did a good job on Not by the Playbook, the story was written well. Logan and Becs' journey may have started out one way but it turned into something so much more. The connection between them was strong, they were drawn to one another, their chemistry was sexy. They were good together.

    This is a frivolous, immature start to a non-relationship in order to get Rebecca a job. When Rebecca sneaks out of her one-night-stand’s room, she encounters Jenna, who is staying at her brother’s house while her apartment is being painted. Rebecca had recently interviewed with Jenna for a job Rebecca wants badly. Rebecca and Logan agree to a fake relationship, each for their own reasons. Logan is a football player that wants more respect from his sister, Jenna, regarding his long-term plans.
    The fake relationship develops some very real elements as they get to know one another better. Their changing relationship adds fun and interest. The story does turn out to have some valuable life lessons. Overall, an enjoyable light romance. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This story was the perfect length, the perfect pace, it moved along without dragging, but didn't feel too short, either. Not that I would've minded if it were longer, I loved the characters, Rebecca and Logan!     I really enjoy fake boyfriend stories. This one had a particularly interesting twist – both Becs and Logan want to impress Logan’s sister. Becs because the woman might be her future boss and Logan because despite his best effort, his sister doesn’t take him seriously. Champion football player? Sure, okay. But what are you REALLY going to do with your life? How many of us have felt judged by parents and siblings for not choosing the safe and predictable path?

    Anyway, I read this story a while back and it’s stuck with me so sitting down and writing a review was the logical next step. There’s plenty of humor in this book – something sorely missing these days. I’ve heard there’s another book coming shortly and I can’t wait to read that one as well.

    This is a great quick read. The story flows so smoothly it is hard to believe this is Ivy Hunt’s first book! One thing I really love about it is the strong female characters that aren’t ‘forced’ they’re exactly the sort of women you may know and admire for their brains and work.
    Yes, there are some hot and heavy sex scenes, but it’s the story line and characters that stay with you after you finish the book.
