Rick Cantelli, P.I. Book 14: Enemy Within (Rick Cantelli, P.I. Series) Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars 237 ratings

America will be at war shortly with the enemy within, just as Rick and Lois, teamed with their apprentices, Jim and Ellen. They face traitorous politicians, propped up at every moment by their willing accomplices in the media, and a populace so ignorant of history they become communist Vladimir Lenin’s ‘useful idiots’ of the future. Nothing in America can be considered safe when confronting the Antifa/BLM mafia jackals terrorizing our cities, paid for by foreign powers and New World Order billionaire monsters. Madigan/Cantelli never retreats from the challenge they have been facing for decades: the enemy within. Romance, violence, movie making, and humor keep the young warriors, Jim and Ellen, energized to take over the war.

It's always a treat to dive into the latest Rick Cantelli adventure. While Rick and Lois may be getting older, they can still tune up the bad guys. They have been so successful at training Jim and Ellen that the four of them can handle any situation.

In this episode, the ladies took a beating. The females do outlandish things trying to make Jim jealous, but they come out losers in the end. Four of the girls are kidnapped in different scenarios and the outcome is not pretty.

It is enjoyable seeing the making of a movie from the inside. There is plenty of steam as Jim tries to deal with his women on and off the screen. It resembles a harem with the women as the aggressors. As usual, Kull steals the show. I just want to spend some quality time hugging Kull.

DeLeo books always have mile-a-minute action. Enemy Within is no exception. It has a little something for everyone — patriotism, law and order, romance, sex, conflict, and mayhem. DeLeo is a master at pulp fiction, and every new book is a new adventure where you know the bad guys are going to come out the losers.

Just when I thought this series couldn't get any better, De Leo hits us with this. Enemy within is a whirlwind of hot romance, high powered action and plenty of fun. It is frustrating that regardless of the word count, I blow through these books way too fast. You simply can't put them down. Grab your copy of Enemy Within and buckle up for a thrill ride that will light you up.

Jim can't catch a break! But it's a good time at least. I can't wait until the next book to see how the love square turns out. The one great thing about this author is that I won't have to wait long for the next one because he is awesome at putting out books fast.

At first I was thinking there was too much graphic sex with the Bullet but after thinking on it, I remembered this is basically a kid. Yes, he's very mature for his age but at the end of the day he's still like a kid in a candy store. This is his coming of age story as we watch him grow up. Like always, Mr. DeLeo keeps you turning those pages and finishing stories too fast even if you try to savor them. Of course as always, Kull steals the show!

Like the action and the truth DeLeo includes along with a entertaining story. Finally someone who doesn’t put up with the liberal democratic b.s. we are fed by the mainstream media.
