About the author

Linda is part of the dynamic group of writers who write the Bindarra Creek sweet small town romance stories. She loves the comradery of working alongside these talented writers and reading their stories. She was born in Sydney, Australia and later moved to the beautiful Hunter Valley in New South Wales. Linda still lives in the region and enjoys the small town country warmth (and food!), friendships and all the attractions that come with living by the sea with all things country close by and down a dusty track!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2016A dangerous boyhood dare changed Matt Stirling's life forever.
Now he has to live with the consequences every day ...and he's pledged his life and loyalty to helping his best mate and is not ready to escape the prison he finds himself trapped in... and he sure as heck is not ready for the disruption fun-loving opera singer Kate Martin, and her larger than life side-kick, Daisy, when the duo burst into his staid life... Kate disrupts all Matt's carefully made plans and when faced with her never ending optimism that she can create a choir out of Bindarra Creek's children, it's not long before Matt is questioning his loyalty to his crippled mate Dan, and every day he spends working in Dan's butcher's shop, a duty he considers a life-long penance ... and Matt is horrified to realise that Dan resents the burden Matt's continued presence has become...This is a twisted tale of survivor's guilt where neither party stops to question the status quo until two beautiful women stir up their lives...
This is yet another book in this great series, this one written by Linda Charles. Each author brings their own unique voice to this small town striving to recreate itself in the New England tablelands of Northern New South Wales ...
I thoroughly recommend this series to anyone who likes rural romances...
- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2017I can't really put my finger on why I didn't like it as well. There was just something about it. It wasn't one of those books that jumped out to me, that I couldn't put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars this is a story of painful pasts, promising futures
Emotional and confronting, this is a story of painful pasts, promising futures, and everything in between. The confirmed country boy and the international star. A match made in heaven…no, made in Bindarra Creek. There’s something in the water there. A lovely, sometimes sad story, with wonderfully warm characters and a beautiful storyline.
