When she discovers her twin brother is going to take a skiing trip over the holidays with his girlfriend she declined the offer to tag along. Instead she picked Aurora Falls for her holiday alone. Finn is a polar bear shifter living in a community of polar bear shifters and humans. Finn and Lainey's story is packed with drama, humor, spice and shifter shenanigans. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to my next book by Abbie Zanders. Going Polar is part of the Howls Romance Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

    Almost too quick. There were some scenes that were glossed over that I think would have improved the story. Two scenes in particular would have been nice if the author provided more details. Also a few characters that were introduced but never really went anywhere. If these items could be reworked, I feel this could have been a 5-star story.

    I started this story a little confused, because I thought this was a connected series, but it seems the only connection is that the H is a bear shifter. Book 1 is in first person, while this one is not. Also, the history of shifters is slightly different. And this is closed-door, while book 1 was open-door but not super spicy.

    Now, I mention these things for information purposes only - I loved both books!

    Finn & Lainey are adorable, and I love the friendship they develop before they become a couple. I loved the plot, the town, the cute teen polar bear antics, and the family aspects. Very good read, and a quick one, as well!
