Carlo has been in involved in the law enforcement community for 25 years. His career included successful undercover missions with the DEA and State Police. Carlo also coordinated inter-agency task forces and investigated all types of crimes before retiring as a detective. He furthered his career when he moved to Massachusetts where he worked as a private investigator, specializing in undercover operations and interrogation. Carlo also worked as an Executive Protection Agent with an impressive list of clients such as a presidential nominee; working closely with the Secret Service when they took over, federal judges, senators and congressmen. He also drove CEO’s from several fortune 500 Companies. Carlo received his Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Criminology, from the State University of NY system. Today he writes from an undisclosed location in Texas and continues his education seeking a Masters in Criminal Organizations.

    What a great read!! Full of suspense, action, twists and turns. Hard book to put down and ended way too soon. Can’t wait for the next release but be sure to read Carlos first book “Showdown in Beantown”. Another great read.

    What I like was also what I liked in book number 1. The chapters were short and to the point. When any novel gets my attention from the first couple of chapters, I continue on. I need to know more. When a book( and I have read many,( in fact, same with a movie) I tend to lose interest if the beginning drags out, so to speak. But these books make themselves hard to put down, even in todays busy world. Again, the short chapters which are concise makes it very convenient for a person who is very busy otherwise. And then the precise detail makes one feel like he or she is right in the same place in time. Just read them, you'll like them.

    This was the perfect book - with short chapters - that keeps you constantly up-to-date on all of the parties and locations happening withing this crime drama. It is written excellently for a first novel by Carlo. It keeps you engaged and looking for more. The visual explanations of everything keeps you will informed and the reader has a clear virtual image of everything and everyone involved. It moves fast but can be put down and picked up days later. A great read.

    This is the second book I have read from Carlo. I loved Showdown in Beantown and I loved The Rise of Chloe. This book is exciting and fast paced. The simultaneous movements of the hit squads was heart pounding. Carlo’s writing style gave me a vivid visual of the scenes and characters. I could see the beauty and sexiness in Gina and Chloe. Can’t wait for his next book. Keep writing my friend.

    Really enjoyed reading this book! Was a fast read exciting! Kept you on your toes wondering what was going to happen next! Was very surprised on the ending! Never thought it was going to end they way it did! Can’t wait for the third book to come out!
