About the author

If we have not met yet, I’m delighted to meet you! Here’s a little bit about me…
I have been writing romance novels for almost half my life, well at least for the last 30 years. I’m a diehard romantic and have to confess the broad shoulders and wicked glint in the brilliant green eyes of a stranger had my breath snagging in my breast, my heart beating madly, and my future flashing before my eyes. At the age of seventeen, I’d met the man I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with.
I write Historical & Contemporary Romance featuring characters that I know so well: hardheaded heroes and feisty heroines! They rarely listen to me and in fact, I think they enjoy messing with my plans for them. Over the years I have learned to listen to them! I have always used family names in my books and love adding bits and pieces of my ancestors and ancestry in them, too!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2025Having just gotten this book when it was free, I have been introduced to a new author, who I really enjoy! I will buying more of her books since I swallowed this one up very quickly. The characters were perfect!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2018A sweet story for a slow afternoon.
I’m a sucker for the works of CH Admirand. The author has a way with words. In a few lines, I end up drawn into the story. I couldn’t put this one down. Granted, it’s a short story, but worth the hour or so read.
Margaret wants to save her father. He’s in trouble and she can’t let him get in deeper. Lord Avery spots an intruder on his property and takes matters into his own hands. Their story is rather simple, but Admirand adds special twists to keep the tale fresh.
It’s a sweet book and ends at just the right moment. I couldn’t ask for more–other than for the story to be longer so I can spend more time with these characters.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2025This was a very good short novella. It was fun and entertaining to be so short. It would definitely be a good part for a longer story.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2023An entertaining story but wish it'd been longer. Margaret's devotion to their father and Owen's concern for his sister was moving along with the staff loyalty to the family. Was it guilt or Margaret alone that overcame Lord Avery, an unexpected pairing for sure. Well written story deserving five stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2017A charming short story about mistaken identify that leads to finding the one that is meant for you. Little did Margaret know when she put on her father's cloak and left to find him, that she would be struck with a metal-knobbed walking stick, fall unconscious and wake in the house of a rake!
