About the Author

Warm, Charming, Fun C.H. writes about the things she loves most: Family, her Irish Ancestry, Baking and Gardening. Take a trip back in time to the Old West with her Irish Western Series, then fast-forward to the present, stopping at the Circle G Ranch in Pleasure, Texas before finally landing in Apple Grove, Ohio-Small Town USA-for a slice of Peggy McCormack's Buttermilk Pie! C.H. was born in Aiken, South Carolina, but her parents moved back to northern New Jersey where she grew up, which if you've met her would explain a lot. She's always had her nose in a book, has traveled the world over, and even tested the time-space continuum, thanks to the awesome power of the written word. One of her writing quirks is that she loves to include bits and pieces of her ancestors and ancestry in all of her books. Her family centers her and keeps her sane, which is why she enjoys adding elements of family, hearth, and home in all of her romances. C.H. is an active member in RWA, NINC and WWA. C.H. is a former member of RWA/NYC, PASIC, and NJRW where C.H. held numerous jobs including Treasurer, Assistant Conference Chair, and PAN Liaison. With 12 short stories and 15 novels to her credit, this award-winning, multi-published author's books are available in paperback, hardcover, trade paperback, magazine, e-book, large print, and audio book.

If we have not met yet, I’m delighted to meet you! Here’s a little bit about me…

I have been writing romance novels for almost half my life, well at least for the last 30 years. I’m a diehard romantic and have to confess the broad shoulders and wicked glint in the brilliant green eyes of a stranger had my breath snagging in my breast, my heart beating madly, and my future flashing before my eyes. At the age of seventeen, I’d met the man I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with.

I write Historical & Contemporary Romance featuring characters that I know so well: hardheaded heroes and feisty heroines! They rarely listen to me and in fact, I think they enjoy messing with my plans for them. Over the years I have learned to listen to them! I have always used family names in my books and love adding bits and pieces of my ancestors and ancestry in them, too!

I had never read an Irish Western before but thought I would try it. The author pulled me right into the wild west and I felt like I was right there with the characters. Irish humor is amazing and kept me laughing. As it was weaved throughout the book, it was in just the right place in the story where there needed to be a bit of humor. It's not your typical western that's why I really liked it. It was action packed and kept wanting to know what was going to happen next. Loved the characters they just came a live in the story. There were a lot of twists and turns that kept it interesting. When I finished the book, I found I missed the characters. I definitely loved it. You won't be disappointed,

I have enjoyed CH Admirand's Duke' Protector series, so was pleased to find this series just as good, but from a Western-Irish perspective. Joshua and Maggie's attraction is instantaneous, yet their acknowledgment is delayed due to his job, her injuries, and their misunderstandings. Yet love prevails in this clean romance featuring a swoon worthy hero and a strong as nails heroine.

My grandparents enjoyed reading westerns, my grandmother use to get a western Romance magazine. That love was passed down to my two brothers and myself. We first listened to radio westerners, then watched them on tv. So when I'm given a chance to read westerns on my recently acquired Kindle, add them to my carousel. This was a very good trad. Both the hero and heroine were top notch. Obstacles were placed in their paths and overcome. New friendships were formed, a brother and sister reunited after 7 year, and romance bloomed. All ingredients of a well written western.

I would have liked to read more on Maggie and Joshua.
This is an excellent read. It kept me intrigued. It transported me to each scene as if I were a part in the story.
Kept me on the edge of my seat. Wished I could have read more about the woman that was shot.
All and all worth it to own it!

Loved the blend of old world Irish and American west in this action packed, love at first sight story. This is my first Admirand read, and I'm looking for more. As soon as I finished this one, started the sequel, "The Ranchers Heart" I won't spoil the story for you, but it includes dangerous stagecoach rides, kidnappers, cattle hustlers and a corrupt banker, just to name a few. Living large in the west. Lots of fun!

Book 1 in the series of 5 is a thrilling account! Fast paced and intriguing, it keeps the reader on the edge of his/her seat. Through the author's artful use of colorful descriptions, set against a believable historical backdrop, the reader is drawn into the action and swept along in the swift current of the story almost as though they are experiencing the events personally. A thrilling tale heightens the anticipation of Book 2!

All too farce-like for my taste. I got really bored reading this and kept hoping that the revolving door effect would finally stop. There were also an unjustifiable number of editing problems. Can't really recommend it.
