About the author

If we have not met yet, I’m delighted to meet you! Here’s a little bit about me…
I have been writing romance novels for almost half my life, well at least for the last 30 years. I’m a diehard romantic and have to confess the broad shoulders and wicked glint in the brilliant green eyes of a stranger had my breath snagging in my breast, my heart beating madly, and my future flashing before my eyes. At the age of seventeen, I’d met the man I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with.
I write Historical & Contemporary Romance featuring characters that I know so well: hardheaded heroes and feisty heroines! They rarely listen to me and in fact, I think they enjoy messing with my plans for them. Over the years I have learned to listen to them! I have always used family names in my books and love adding bits and pieces of my ancestors and ancestry in them, too!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2013From the first page to the last, it was wonderful. There was just enough description about each character that you actually felt like you could see each one. I loved them and they all worked together so wonderfully. This story deals with trust, immigrants and good versus evil! Good wins, but the way it wins is outstanding. Made you laugh and cry. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2013Having grown up and grown old in the part of the country where we appreciate the ranching community, this was a great ride. Many times authors who haven't lived this life fracture a story line by inserting something which is totally out of character with these folks; happily that didn't happen here.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2020I was happy to read the story of James and Bridget...two characters we met in The Marshall's Destiny. Bumpy road with lots of twists and turns on the way to their HEA. Looking forward to the next one in the series

- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2013While the plot was interesting and the author kept my interest throughout the book, some parts drove me crazy. First, the main characters thinking and re-thinking the same thought over and over tended to stretch the story but not add much to the plot or character development. In addition, I found some of the scenes a bit hokey. Lastly, the movement of the story line in the first half of the book was slow and dragged. Towards the end--when the story became more interesting--the conclusion came so fast it was strangely unsatisfying.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2013I have enjoyed the Irish Western series. I agree with one of the comments on Ranchers Heart when James was looking lustly at Bridget in her nightgown when she was so sick from starving herself so Mick could eat. I thought Jamie needs to dial it down a notch. But she comes back to health and he gets to know her then go for it. My one question is what ever happened to the key to safe deposit box in Denver and the money. Nothing was ever mentioned after Bridget's "dead" husband was shot and really killed. He had taken from the key from the Bible where he hid it for all those years. Now he was going to get his money but was killed before he was able to. What happened to it? Did Marshall Justiss find the key the book doesn't say nor does the next book about Pearl?
Side note:
How does Bridget Garahan O'Toole Flaherty relate to the Tyler, Dylan and Jesse Garahan? She almost has to have a brother unknown to her somewhere in the family tree. Also Marshal Ben Justiss of Colorado related to the 3 brothers's Uncles Ben and Mike Justiss U.S Marshalls. Love it !!!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2014I enjoyed this second book in the Irish series. It starts off really same and grows on you. I enjoy how Ryan took mick under his wing even when he was stiealing from him. I like how he took Mick's mother Bridget under his protection and nurse her back to health. I really like how the romace grew between the stubborn rancher and the determine mother. Good book to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2013The book held my attention from beginning to end. I do believe that back in those days women that were not born rich of married the rich husband had it rough. If there was a child involved I'm sure it was worst. Today you would have help from different agency to help. This book really depicts the lives in that era. Granted its a story but the author has done her homework and research. You see great people today and heroes but back then you didn't have the media and I'm sure there was as many good people as you see today.

I do like the authors characters, they are so believable, I get pulled straight into their lives. I love a good read where I can loose reality for a while. Can't wait to read the next one.
