About the author

If we have not met yet, I’m delighted to meet you! Here’s a little bit about me…
I have been writing romance novels for almost half my life, well at least for the last 30 years. I’m a diehard romantic and have to confess the broad shoulders and wicked glint in the brilliant green eyes of a stranger had my breath snagging in my breast, my heart beating madly, and my future flashing before my eyes. At the age of seventeen, I’d met the man I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with.
I write Historical & Contemporary Romance featuring characters that I know so well: hardheaded heroes and feisty heroines! They rarely listen to me and in fact, I think they enjoy messing with my plans for them. Over the years I have learned to listen to them! I have always used family names in my books and love adding bits and pieces of my ancestors and ancestry in them, too!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2014Pearl had taken in a bunch of young ladies(haha) and turned them into family. The "ladies" of the betterment Committee wanted Pearl gone so tried to sell her ranch out from under her.
That's where easterner Davidson Smythe came in to the picture. He bought the ranch. He thought !
But when bullets start flying the marshal and other of Pearls friends get involved.. This story is really good, it has gunslingers, wayward lovers, Irishmen, cowboys, and a real Englishman.. It is a full book not a novella and is worth reading every page.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2013Good story. Great characters, and small town realism. Add in a a few friends, some kids and some teens, guns and living down a past that is not true and the rest is magic. It did drag at times. But , well worth the time. Plan to read more of this author's work. /Steph
- Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2017This was a great book! ! ! ! ! Loved every word. I am not a good reviewer. Don't know how to say the words to tell how much I liked the story. However if you want a nice sweet clean book with just enough loving to make you feel good than this is for you. It made my heart happy.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2013I love any book that is about a strong woman, yet has a soft soul. This was a good follow up in the series. In the previous books, I wanted to learn more about Pearl and her story, so glad that C.H. Admirand follow up with this book. It was a quick and enjoyable read.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2013Davidson Smythe from Boston arrived in Emerson Colo. believing that he had bought a ranch. to his displeasure, he is met by a woman with a gun telling him to get off her land. Pearl Lloyd is determined to hold the ranch for herself and to provide a home for the young women who lived with her and had no other place to go. Pearl had endured a hard husband, run his saloon and his attempts to force her into being a harlot at the saloon; now that he was dead, she had no intention of ever listening to a man order her around again. But the select group of pious women in the community were determined to get rid of her and her girls; the local sheriff was in love with her not to mention friend, John Reilly's, infatuation with her. But the man from Boston is the only man who makes her feel weak.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2013Don't judge until you've walked a mile in her shoes. Her actions may not be to your liking, but when the chips are down. Who comes to the rescue? How many of you, had to hang your head in shame? How many got a scond chance because of her kindness? Many of you need to read this series, just to learn a few things about your "high-foolutin" ways. Truly this is good reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pearl and the girls get redemption and a happy ending which makes for a good read
We finally get to hear more about Pearl and what the truth is about the "chicken farm." This book made me angry (for Pearl) and the town's treatment of her and even angrier to hear of her treatment by her husband. Pearl and the girls get redemption and a happy ending which makes for a good read!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2013Everyone loves a happy ending. And if you read the first 2 novels in the Irish Western series you would know a bit about Pearl. Her life story comes out in this novel..and is truly worth reading about....but it seems the same upset stomach befalls her at every turn...and it gets redundant. I was disappointed that the author couldn't find different ways to describe her fear, anger, hurt, etc.,
