Pearl's Redemption (Irish Western Series Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 201 ratings

For fans of this series, Pearl finally gets her own story. If you've read the original story, you'll notice that I've toned down the love scenes so that a broader group of readers might enjoy reading about the resilient Miss Pearl. Don't worry, sparks still fly between Davidson Smythe and Pearl Lloyd, but readers will get to see more of the love that is deep in their hearts for one another.Pearl Lloyd would do anything to keep her ranch and protect her girls. When Davidson Smythe shows up on her doorstep claiming to have bought her ranch, she shoots first and asks questions second. Davidson Smythe wants to start over, leaving Boston and his brother's suspicious death behind. Sight unseen, he spends his half of the inheritance on a ranch out in Colorado, only to find the ranch occupied by a battered angel who can shoot like the devil.Other Books in this series: THE MARSHAL'S DESTINY, Bk 1; THE RANCHER'S HEART, Bk 2, A GIFT FROM HOME, Bk 4.What Reviewers said about PEARL'S REDEMPTION:"Even if you haven't read the first two books of this series, you'll still enjoy Admirand's enticing, seductive and tantalizing plot." 4 Stars ~ HOT~ - Faith V. "Get ready for a powerful and sexy Western romance with a feisty heroine determined to protect those she loves. Add a tough hero with a dark past and you have a romance that doesn't let you go." Christina Skye, NY Times Bestselling Author

"C.H. Admirand writes with elegance and beauty..." Aimee Ann, Red Headed Book Lover Blog

About the Author

C.H. was born in Aiken, South Carolina, but her parents moved back to northern New Jersey where she grew up, which if you've met her would explain a lot. She's always had her nose in a book, has traveled the world over, and even tested the time-space continuum, thanks to the awesome power of the written word. One of her writing quirks is that she loves to include bits and pieces of her ancestors and ancestry in all of her books. Her family centers her and keeps her sane, which is why she enjoys adding elements of family, hearth, and home in all of her romances. With 9 short stories and 15 novels to her credit, this award-winning, multi-published author's books are available in paperback, hardcover, trade paperback, magazine, e-book, and audiobook. If we have not met yet, I’m delighted to meet you! Here’s a little bit about me…

I have been writing romance novels for almost half my life, well at least for the last 30 years. I’m a diehard romantic and have to confess the broad shoulders and wicked glint in the brilliant green eyes of a stranger had my breath snagging in my breast, my heart beating madly, and my future flashing before my eyes. At the age of seventeen, I’d met the man I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with.

I write Historical & Contemporary Romance featuring characters that I know so well: hardheaded heroes and feisty heroines! They rarely listen to me and in fact, I think they enjoy messing with my plans for them. Over the years I have learned to listen to them! I have always used family names in my books and love adding bits and pieces of my ancestors and ancestry in them, too!

Pearl had taken in a bunch of young ladies(haha) and turned them into family. The "ladies" of the betterment Committee wanted Pearl gone so tried to sell her ranch out from under her.
That's where easterner Davidson Smythe came in to the picture. He bought the ranch. He thought !
But when bullets start flying the marshal and other of Pearls friends get involved.. This story is really good, it has gunslingers, wayward lovers, Irishmen, cowboys, and a real Englishman.. It is a full book not a novella and is worth reading every page.

This was a great book! ! ! ! ! Loved every word. I am not a good reviewer. Don't know how to say the words to tell how much I liked the story. However if you want a nice sweet clean book with just enough loving to make you feel good than this is for you. It made my heart happy.

I love any book that is about a strong woman, yet has a soft soul. This was a good follow up in the series. In the previous books, I wanted to learn more about Pearl and her story, so glad that C.H. Admirand follow up with this book. It was a quick and enjoyable read.

Davidson Smythe from Boston arrived in Emerson Colo. believing that he had bought a ranch. to his displeasure, he is met by a woman with a gun telling him to get off her land. Pearl Lloyd is determined to hold the ranch for herself and to provide a home for the young women who lived with her and had no other place to go. Pearl had endured a hard husband, run his saloon and his attempts to force her into being a harlot at the saloon; now that he was dead, she had no intention of ever listening to a man order her around again. But the select group of pious women in the community were determined to get rid of her and her girls; the local sheriff was in love with her not to mention friend, John Reilly's, infatuation with her. But the man from Boston is the only man who makes her feel weak.

Don't judge until you've walked a mile in her shoes. Her actions may not be to your liking, but when the chips are down. Who comes to the rescue? How many of you, had to hang your head in shame? How many got a scond chance because of her kindness? Many of you need to read this series, just to learn a few things about your "high-foolutin" ways. Truly this is good reading.

We finally get to hear more about Pearl and what the truth is about the "chicken farm." This book made me angry (for Pearl) and the town's treatment of her and even angrier to hear of her treatment by her husband. Pearl and the girls get redemption and a happy ending which makes for a good read!

Everyone loves a happy ending. And if you read the first 2 novels in the Irish Western series you would know a bit about Pearl. Her life story comes out in this novel..and is truly worth reading about....but it seems the same upset stomach befalls her at every turn...and it gets redundant. I was disappointed that the author couldn't find different ways to describe her fear, anger, hurt, etc.,
