FOR LOVE OF FLYNN (Irish Western Series Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.0 out of 5 stars 173 ratings

FOR LOVE OF FLYNN Blurb by C.H. Admirand For Romance Readers who have read the first four books in my Irish Western Series, this is Michael Flynn’s story. It’s a new short story to tide readers over until I can finish writing Masterson’s story, which will be book 6. Megan O’Mara has been waiting four years and 319 days for Michael Flynn to fulfill his promise to marry her. She’s done waiting. With just a few months left before her 21st birthday, she counts up all of the pin money she’s saved to give her and Michael a start in their married life and uses it to buy passage on a ship to America and then a ticket on the stagecoach that will take her halfway across the country to Emerson, Colorado where she plans to confront the man who’s broken her heart. Michael Flynn worked his way West from New York City where he got off the boat from Ireland five years before. He’s promised Meg, his sweetheart back home, that he’d be back in five years to marry her. But by buying his way into a card game to double his money and return to Ireland a well-propertied man that Meg could be proud of goes awry when he wins—and then is shot and robbed by the very same man he cleaned out at the poker table. Will Meg be able to reach Michael in time to save him?Other Titles in C.H. About the Author

"Warm, Charming, Fun" C.H. writes about the things she loves most: Family, her Irish Ancestry, Baking and Gardening. Take a trip back in time to the Old West with her Irish Western Series, then fast-forward to the present, stopping at the Circle G Ranch in Pleasure, Texas before finally landing in Apple Grove, Ohio-Small Town USA-for a slice of Peggy McCormack's Buttermilk Pie! C.H. was born in Aiken, South Carolina, but her parents moved back to northern New Jersey where she grew up, which if you've met her would explain a lot. She's always had her nose in a book, has traveled the world over, and even tested the time-space continuum, thanks to the awesome power of the written word. One of her writing quirks is that she loves to include bits and pieces of her ancestors and ancestry in all of her books. Her family centers her and keeps her sane, which is why she enjoys adding elements of family, hearth, and home in all of her romances. C.H. is an active member in RWA, NINC and WWA. C.H. is a former member of RWA/NYC, PASIC, and NJRW where C.H. held numerous jobs including Treasurer, Assistant Conference Chair, and PAN Liaison. With 12 short stories and 15 novels to her credit, this award-winning, multi-published author's books are available in paperback, hardcover, trade paperback, magazine, e-book, large print, and audio book.

If we have not met yet, I’m delighted to meet you! Here’s a little bit about me…

I have been writing romance novels for almost half my life, well at least for the last 30 years. I’m a diehard romantic and have to confess the broad shoulders and wicked glint in the brilliant green eyes of a stranger had my breath snagging in my breast, my heart beating madly, and my future flashing before my eyes. At the age of seventeen, I’d met the man I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with.

I write Historical & Contemporary Romance featuring characters that I know so well: hardheaded heroes and feisty heroines! They rarely listen to me and in fact, I think they enjoy messing with my plans for them. Over the years I have learned to listen to them! I have always used family names in my books and love adding bits and pieces of my ancestors and ancestry in them, too!

I really enjoyed reading For Love of Flynn ( Irish Western Series) but the book was too short. It left me waiting for the next episode. I suppose that the reader is just allowed to make up the rest of the story or wait for the next book in the series. Actually, I have learned much about my own language heritage from this series of Irish Western books. I am half Irish by birfth, but had no idea that many words I grew up using actually came from the Irish. Thank you C.H. Admirand for these interesting and entertaining books. I anxiously await the next in the series.

The story was good but way to short. There is only 5 chapters, that's only 55 pages on a kindle. I think it took me maybe 45 minutes to read the entire book and that's stretching it. There's no middle in the story. There's a beginning and an end. This story should have been more developed or made apart of another novel.

Loved her other books which were a real bargain for $.99 but was disappointed in this one and also it's similarity to Reilly's story.
