    I loved these witches! The hi jinxs among the witches and their mates will have you glued to the book. The love and camaraderie among these ladies, their mates and their community will warm your hearts and restore your faith is the randomness of fate.

    This is a series of stories about a coven of witches located in Wimberly, TX that was started by a witch and a highwayman who was running from the law in England. They emigrated to America, settled in the Hill Country of Texas, opened a hotel and a town grew up around it. The highwayman couldn't settle down so he went to the surrounding towns of Austin and San Antonio chasing adventures. He eventually became a Texas Ranger and took his breaks with his wife and daughters in Wimberly. Other witches were drawn to the coven in Wimberly and the town prospered and grew due to the "special gifts" of the witches. A Witches Council was formed to govern the coven and ensure the continuation of the witches line. The Council designed and executed a yearly contest to select mates for the young witches. This contest was a Invitation Only Weekend Retreat for young eligible bachelors selected by the Council to compete for the hands of 2 or more eligible witches. The bachelors were chaperoned by husbands of other witches in the town and mentored in the ways of the contest. At the end of the weekend, the witch selects her husband, a handfasting ceremony is performed and the rest of the bachelors are mind-wiped of the weekend (for the protection of the coven) and sent back to their lives. These 3 stories detail the HEAs of 3 witches, their fated mates and their trials to Forever Ever After.
