The Naked Alien: A SciFi Alien Romance (Exposed to the Elements Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 3,757 ratings

Can Jane survive alone on an alien planet? And is she really alone?

Jane has no interest in the great outdoors. She prefers her comfortable bed, her books, and all the conveniences of modern life. So when she wakes up alone and naked in what appears to be an alien jungle, her only goal is to find her way home.

The question of whether or not she’s alone is answered when a massive stranger comes to her rescue. Her savior is big and growly and he doesn’t speak her language - but the heat in his eyes doesn’t need translation...

Commander Taraxan’s people may have mastered advanced technology, but they have never forgotten their primitive roots. So when he wakes up naked and weaponless on an unknown planet, he is annoyed but not alarmed.

As he searches for a way to return to his civilization, he discovers a strange, pale female blundering around the jungle. Oblivious to the hazards surrounding her, she is clumsy, helpless… and completely adorable. As an honorable warrior, he has no choice but to protect her - but he doesn't expect the task to be so rewarding...

Can two complete opposites survive the jungle - and their sizzling attraction to one another? And what possible future awaits a human woman and an alien commander who are both determined to return to their own worlds?

Each book in the Exposed to the Elements series can be read as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy romance is intended for mature audiences only.

USA Today bestselling author Honey Phillips writes steamy science fiction romance about hot alien warriors and the Earth women they can’t resist. From abductions to invasions, the ride might be rough, but the end always satisfies.

Honey wrote and illustrated her first book at the tender age of five. Her writing has improved since then. Her drawing skills, unfortunately, have not. She loves writing, reading, traveling, cooking, and drinking champagne - not necessarily in that order.

Super excited to start a new HP series! I love the premise of this compared to the usual alien abduction in many alien romances. In this series the humans and the aliens are both abducted and placed together in foreign surroundings as test subjects. Essentially to form a bond. I loved how these two have contraring features. Tarax was all hardness and physical strength whereas Jane was smaller and soft and curvy. And I adore that in my romances, especially alien/monster. They find that physical attraction despite so many physical differences. And then on top of that they have so many other differences as individuals and yet they find love. They find that those differences are what make one another unique and special, and they love each other all the more because of them. I just find it so beautiful and so I really enjoyed those aspects in this. This was such a fun, quick, and very sweet read. These characters were very endearing. I really enjoyed it. Great start to the series.

*REVIEW NOTE: All of my reviews vary, but have a general outline/layout. Some are long, and others are short. Meter ratings determine how the content in the book affected me. They're not solely based on the actual amount of the content within the book, although that does play a role. Any books needing content warnings (imo) will be noted in my reviews. And any closed-door books (no sexual content) will also be noted in reviews.

I was really looking forward to this book, and it didn’t disappoint exactly. It hit most of the right notes. It was enjoyable and it wasn’t a very long book.

But there was something a little off, and it’s hard to pin down or explain without spoilers.

First the good stuff: Jane is a good heroine, not a damsel in distress just wholly unprepared to be dropped naked into an alien jungle. I mean— who wouldn’t be? Taraxan is a good hero, noble and doesn’t take advantage of Jane— and he certainly could have if he were a villain and not a hero type.

And I mean, Taraxan and Jane— ha ha I thought was funny and was waiting for the “me Tarzan, you Jane”
    But it never came.

Now the mixed feelings: it didn’t exactly grab me emotionally.

    Possible spoiler:
we learn a mysterious race has put them there, but it seems a little flimsy. Like this is explained as a survival test for the man, but while it’s an alien planet it’s not exactly hostile. There are a few big creatures he dispatched easily, but no big bad stuff and it’s kind of a Disney version of a jungle. They walk for days and they don’t really encounter anything that tests him per se.

And, Jane’s just put there as a “distraction”... and then the mystery aliens are surprised when the hero is actually distracted. uh, weird and nonsensical. There are a few other things that just don’t make sense but I don’t really want to go into deep spoilers.

There will be more books so I’ll definitely read the next one before I decide if I’ll continue this series.

I enjoyed Taraxan and Jane’s alien-human, forced proximity with a side of kidnapping romance. This was a quick and fun read. Taraxan is a Doturan commander of a space vessel. Jane is a human. They both wake up naked on a strange planet having no memory of being taken from their beds. They are each given a woven sack, a map and another tool. They have no information and no plan other than to travel to the location indicated on their map. They eventually run in to each other and start traveling together. There is attraction between them which resulted in steamy scenes but there is a language barrier so their interactions are not as robust as I would have liked. This in turn limited the connection and growth of the characters for me. Despite being short, the story was well written, the characters had some dimension and the storyline was fairly engaging. 3.5 stars.

Ok this is a interesting book. Jane is human and she finds herself in some strange jungle and naked and has no idea where she is or how she got there. Trax is a big green Alien he doesn’t know where he is or how he got there but he knows he can survive. After hearing some noise and investigating he finds this strange female but he can’t understand her his translator doesn’t know her language. So he decides to observe her to see if she’s a threat. But he see she not he also see she doesn’t know how to survive and soon has to save her and let her know about him. So enjoy this cute but strange story and see how they survive!!
