    Variant is a a great read that continues the story of Eva and Landon from Predictive. I enjoyed that book and was anxious to learn about the next part of their journey as they head to a new world away from the threat of the Federation. As always the author gives us a wonderful blend of characters, action, and suspense in Variant. We learn that the crew must now adapt to life on "Serenity" in ways that none of them expected. Ms. Lane gives us a great sci fi story with a military aspect that uses the variant talent of Landon and the predictive talent of Eva to help them survive on this new planet. I highly recommend this book, you won't want to stop reading it once you start.

The relationships between the main characters are very underdeveloped. The resolution to the conflict is also solved in an underwhelming way. I liked the book but I wish there was about 100 more pages or a third book to solve these issues.

Can we get a book 3, where all other ships land and maybe there’s competition from new arrivals that forces people to own their feelings??? And maybe we get, some alpha and omega genetic tampering with the city builders coming back home, only to realize Goldilocks is sleeping in they’re beds????     I’ve read the other series by LV Lane and came to this one last. I have to say enjoyed it a lot and probably more than most of the others. I hope there will be some additions to the series. The books are longer so the characters have time to develop and the stories are more about what they are all facing rather then focusing on the relationships of a couple of people. Both books are much more action oriented with some betrayal and intrigue thrown in as well. There’s more to the new world for us to discover so I hope the author carries on with this series.
