A terrible tragedy changed the life of a little girl forever. She had all she wanted and wanted nothing more than what she had. It didn’t take much, but like the speed of a bullet, her life had been turned upside down; living in homes, with families that weren’t hers. Darla was trying to live in a world that felt long gone; she wanted to escape, she wanted nothing more than to turn back time, and maybe find a way... But those things were better left to the imagination.

After a night with her thoughts, Darla chose to leave her new home and venture out into the dark world. But before she knew it, through the darkness as she trailed the road of lonely dreams; a dirt path that led deeper into a darkening abyss. Two mustard, glowing orbs shone through the black; it growled, and she ran. With fear pumping through her veins and loneliness strangling her; Darla lost her footing and fell to the ground. Her fear at bay as the mustard orbs vanished. Darla is greeted by a friendly face. Then, with an open invitation; invited on a once-in-a-lifetime journey across the Rainbow tracks to a place called Gorgunheim. With a gleeful smile, Darla left the physical realm to begin her adventure in a realm of ghosts. But little did Darla know; there was a darkness that awaited her arrival; the evil ghost Queen of Darkness: Lady Slither. And when the queen catches the drift of the unwanted spirit from the living; her plan would begin to unfold from the moment Darla stepped into a world where she doesn’t belong.

Brodie W. Whitburn. For most of his life has been an avid fan of story-telling in the many different forms of media. From the age of 10 he had been reading novels, comics, manga and more. His love for the Prose world grew even more with his love for the fantasy world of Harry Potter. The first fantasy series he grew up reading as the books released. Then he grew to love the works of Tolkien, Stephen King, and more. At the age of 11, he wrote his first novel and from there, his story writing journey began.

In the current years, Brodie has written and published more than what he thought he would be able to in his lifetime and he has so many plans to continue growing and pursuing his love in the art of creating stories in many different formats.

    Quick to read, wonderfully written, and with an equally great ending. I enjoyed the characters immensely, especially Lady Slither. You notice the author's love of fantasy, as well as the fact that family must be very important to him. A great book, definitely recommend it.
