The Heath Cousins and the Crystal Canyon: Book 3 in the Heath Cousins Series Kindle Edition
In book 3 of the Heath Cousins series, the four courageous cousins travel back to the magical land where they first met their friends Gemma and Jumani, the white wolf. This time they must find their way under a dangerous waterfall and enter the land through the Crystal Canyon. There they must face a dangerous enemy, Arach the crystal-spewing dragon, in order to save their friends Mai Li and Jadira, the smelly buffalo creature, from a terrible fate. Only the cousins with their magical gifts can break its evil spell. But what they discover in the dragon’s lair...and what happens next...could endanger their journey home.
On this rousing adventure, our intrepid heroes discover many amazing things about Gemma’s magical world...and about themselves. They learn that the land is called Ambra, and along the way they also learn about working together, forgiveness, facing your fears, and most of all, loyalty.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2021A review from my daughter, Paige, 11; Instagram account: @paige.s.reading
Plot:
One rainy day, Addie B and her boy cousins are stuck inside their cabin. Addie B discovered a poem and a treasure map that Gemma had sent in Addie's book. They must check this new place out! So, Addie and her cousins went to the waterfall, and they were transported to a place called crystal canyon, where a terrible crystal dragon lived. They must break the curse of the dragon! Will they break the curse before it's too late?
Feelings:
Another action-packed story with Addie B and her boy cousins. This book is a little bit more complex than the two previous ones. Even more mysterious! And who doesn’t like a story with a dragon?
Fun facts:
I also won this book too at the summer book giveaway (on Instagram)! I learned some Native American and Latin words.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2021Adventure #3 with the Heath cousins and an adventure it is!
This time the cousins are on a boring vacation in North Carolina, but that changes very quickly and they venture through a dangerous waterfall and find Crystal Canyon! It's amazing, until it's not. They find old friends, Gemma, Jumani, Mai Li, and Jadira and everyone has to work together and face a new enemy, Arach.
Their magical world has so much unknown to them, but as they learn and work together, they find their success.
One of the best things about these books is the fact that they are engaging, interesting, and they aren't long. Kids who struggle with long chapter books will find these books worth their time. You still get all the magic, fantasy, dragons, conflict, and great story in shorter books and it will leave them wanting to see where the Heath cousins go next. I know I'm looking forward to their next adventure!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2020Once again I find myself immersed in the imaginary adventures of the Heath Cousins!
During a disappointing, rainy vacation, the Heath cousins are bored, bored, bored. So when Addie finds a mysterious map and uses her ring to translate the words, all four cousins agree that they will be checking this new place out.
In hopes of finding Gemma, Mai Li, and their stinky protector, Jadira, the kids travel into a new mysterious and dangerous land. They quickly find themselves in danger!
Each book in this series is thin, and I can see kids devouring them within a week. Because of the strong connection to a grandparent, in my mind's eye I see these books being read with grandparents. They would provide a multitude of conversations and so much enjoyment!
I recommend the entire Heath Cousins series to readers of all ages. With adults to assist, I think readers as young as six or seven could really enjoy the adventures.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2022Great for any third grader who loves reading about adventures. Characters are fun and inviting and these books are wholesome so there is nothing to worry about.
