Myles (Special Forces: Operation Alpha) (Blue Team Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 4,186 ratings

Former Delta Operator Myles Simms doesn’t know when to quit. The concept so foreign to him he can’t give up on Delilah Watts. A woman he’s never met—a woman who might be the enemy yet he’s compelled to save her.

Intel Specialist Delilah Watts never imagined sending an email would be deadly. Kidnapped and left to die, yet she regrets nothing. She’d blow the whistle over and over again if it meant one life was saved—unfortunately, it just wouldn’t be hers.

A man on the search.

A woman in need of a hero.

A race against time.

Great read as usual. Myles seemed to have it together more so then some of the other guys. I loved how he was persistent in trying to find and rescue Delilah. All he had was a picture but there was something about her that attracted him to her. When reading this series you have to feel for the women. OMG they go thru hell and back but always come out stronger. Delilah Watts was a mystery the guys couldn't decide if she was friend or foe so they were pretty protective of Evette. Garrett I believe the one who figured out Delilah was actually a friend and didn't think she wanted harm to come to Evette but actually needed her help in taking down her boss. Another interesting character was Tarif an ex-IDF agent. He was sent out to kill Delilah but instead kept her for two months trying to hide her and leaving a trail so Myles and team could find her. I just loved everything about this story. Lots of twists and turns and action and in the end Myles showed Delilah she was strong and all the things her mother said to her were lies. Okay off to read Kevin's story now.

Myles is determined to find Delilah, and he doesn't know why. All he knows is that she saved some of the people he cares for, but not everyone is sure she's on the right team except Myles. Delilah didn't know what she had done could end her life, but she was determined to save another life, and that's all that mattered. With a horrible childhood, she now thinks she doesn't matter. Well, Myles is here to show her differently.

I just loved the way Myles gently, lovingly, and beautifully helped Delilah come out of her self-imposed prison and begin to shine all while running and hiding. Myles and Delilah’s love story has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, dangerous heart stopping action, painful pasts, strong friendships, and quite a few chuckles, all set against the backdrop of the Z Corps Agency. Expect to feel all the things - fear, love, anger, redemption, tears, joy, and so much all encompassing, nurturing, protective love. Myles has been tracking a kidnapped Delilah for two months and he refuses to give up. Delilah was kidnapped for digging a little too much into the underbelly of the company she was working for. From the first sentence, the excitement and danger does not let up for the rest of the book except for the loving moments between Myles and Delilah that are beautifully woven into the story. Myles, unlike the majority of the alpha males at Z Corps does not fight his HEA with everything he has, instead he embraces it right away. He just then has to convince Delilah. Riley Edwards really is fantastic at crafting beautifully paced, exciting military romances. I am excited to hear what happens next for the members of Blue Team.

Great read! I love this series and the writer. The wit and humor are so good and I love the character Zane. Great plot.

Myles was absolutely compelling from the first page to the last. I don't know how Riley Edwards does it time after time but her books are among the best I've ever read (and I read a lot.) Myles is edgy, gripping, perilous and smoldering. But more importantly, it's about trust both earning and keeping it. It's about helping someone to discover their self worth and gaining the confidence to flaunt it. Having the irascible Zane Lewis and Ghost Bryson's Delta Force team involved only made this fabulous story better.

Delilah Watts learned early on in her life to be quiet, invisible and what she wanted didn’t matter. She was dismissed as baggage. Myles Simms is exactly the opposite. He was raised by two loving parents who taught him to be a man of honor and integrity, to be self-assured, there was nothing he couldn't accomplish, and how to love a woman. Following Delilah's trail for months Myles became fascinated by with her. Learning all about her and getting her to trust him become equally as important as keeping her safe and protected.

There aren’t many authors I don’t get sick of reading. Riley is the only one where I gobble up her story faster than I can explain. Once again, Myles was magic. His and Delilah’s personality are original and phenomenal. The strength and realism in Delilah mixed with Myles’ demanding but fun presence make this book amazing. Thank you Riley for consistently delivering books with true and developed characters with punches of humor that make me excited to flip to the next page!

This book was different than the rest of the series. For most of the book Myles and Delilah were alone and on the run. This means it was focused on their relationship and the problems surrounding Delilah. Zane and Kevin were a part of their story much more than the rest of the team. Zane once again showed a new side of himself even if it was over the phone.

Delilah was kidnapped and held hostage for months and Myles refused to give up until he was able to save her. His love for Delilah started when he saw her picture, but Delilah took some time to return that love. She was fierce and feisty but had some baggage from her childhood to overcome. Myles was patient and kind to her and she had never had that before.

Myles and Delilah’s adventure took them through Mexico and Guatemala and when they finally returned home to Maryland his team was waiting with all the usual banter. This book was taking place at the same time as Gabe’s book and involved the same villain trying to create super soldiers.

This was well written and as usual hard to put down. The romance was well mixed with the suspense.

5.0 out of 5 stars He put back together the pieces of her broken heart!

And the love affair with Blue Team continues with the wonderful Myles - he is strong protective, determined and honourable to his core! Myles felt a connection to Delilah from the moment he saw her photograph and won’t give up until he finds her. Traumatised by her time in captivity, Delilah‘s trust is broken and with her mother’s constant putdowns echoing in her head she doesn’t believe Myles could ever be hers no matter how much she wants him. Always true to his character Myles never gives up and is determined to not only gain her trust but to just keep giving and giving until Delilah realises their connection is bone deep and she can have everything she wants.
An absolute page turner, fast moving, action packed, full of suspense and the chemistry between Myles and Delilah is sizzling hot! Zane fans (that’s me) will be delighted that Z in all his glory features heavily in the story, along with all the usual Z Corps team humour in addition to appearances from Tex, Ghost et al.
I loved the story, the relationship between Myles and Delilah was just so perfect to read and how his belief in her empowered her to believe in herself and become the person she was meant to be.
Thank you Riley Edwards, another awesome book and can’t wait for Kevin!

I loved Red Team, Gold team was a hoot and Blue Team have an interesting dynamic that makes me want more. When I read Emily and Fletch’s name and their spunky daughter Annie I had a flood of memories of one of the first military books I read. So excited with my book selection and host of great authors.
