Farseek - Lietenant's Mate: SFR Alien Mates: Bonus Surviving Zeus Mar (Farseek Mercenary Series Book 2) Kindle Edition
Alien slavers took me off the street as I was walking my dog. I cried like a baby when I realized I would never see him again.
Other aliens rescued us before we were sold at auction. Our hopes of going home were dashed when we learned no one knew how to find Earth. On a ship tour, I met Lieutenant Commander Pyrron Advantu, who told me he was mine as he shook my hand.
It happened so fast, but he was gorgeous, and our attraction was strong. My simple life had turned to chaos. It wasn’t love at first sight, but I wanted him.
Pyrr
Scarlet is my soulmate, and I wouldn’t deny her even if I could. She chose to stay even as we were going on a dangerous mission. Scarlet was a former military on her world. Like us, she had lost all she held dear when abducted. She wanted to help and to stay with me. We chose to share whatever time we had now rather than risk never seeing each other again.

About the authors
Clarissa Lake grew up watching Star Trek and reading Marvel Comics. She attended science fiction and fantasy conventions where she met many well known science fiction authors and attended their readings and discussion panels. They included scifi greats Anne McCaffery, CJ Cherry, George RR Martin, Ben Bova, Timothy Zahn, Frederik Pohl, Orson Scot Card.
After years of fruitless efforts to get her books published traditionally, she discovered Kindle Direct Publishing and became an Indie author-publisher.
While she loves scifi, she always thought there should be more romance so she started writing it hot and steamy.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2017You have the backgrund to Pyrron and Scarlet, which gives a better understanding of them as persons. The story is flowing nicely with the narration told in first person. It gives a direct and clear picture of Pyrron and Scarlet, how they view things.
This story has it all, action, suspense and some steamy sex scenes too. It has a really good balance between the hot sex and Pyrrons and Scarlets relationship. But what I really like is the strong woman/heroin and the clear focus on Pyrrons and Scarlet. You can follow the development of their relationship. Another good thing is that this is a story that continues, but its also has a HEA. You feel content but at the same time eagerly waiting for the next book………
- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2020This was a good story from beginning to end. It made me smile and characters were good too. The only thing I didn't like was that it is so poorly edited. There are way too many extra words, lack of punctuation, etc., that it got frustrating to read. If it was better proofed and corrected, it would get the extra two stars!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2019Continuation of the search for the stolen planet inhabitants. They plan to recover as many as possible and resettle their planet again.
Also, more find their mates between the humans and Farseek crew.
Recommend reading this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2017I really enjoyed the story. You gave great background to the Farseek story. The book was well paced and had lots of action and romance. I hope you will continue this series. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2020Poor editing. There were many grammatical errors and times where there were two different pronouns as if the author hadn’t decided which they wanted to use. Ok book otherwise. Steamy parts were all very similar and repetitive.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2021I don't remember a lot about the first book but I remembered I loved it. I wasn't so fond of thus book. It seemed to have a check list built. This happened, then this happened then another thing happened but very little story. Except for the puppy part that was something I could get behind and feel since I'm A dog lover and am owned by two precious pups myself.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2018Hankura is an A-hole. His wife, Michelle(Chelle for short), and many other females had been abused, tortured, and raped, repeatedly. Several people had been murdered. Chelle had serious injuries from the abuse when the males(Hankura included) escaped to rescue them. They had not been able to get past what happen at the prison camp. He goes off to get drunk and cheat on his wife for 3 days because he could not get past his quilt and pain. WTF!!!!! She took him back. Oh, H*** NO! I would have to him to go H*** in a hand basket. I just couldn't tolerate the amount of abuse and negativity in this book, not to mention the cheating! Zero stars if I could give a zero.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2017Lieutenant's Mate is the second in Ms. Quinn's Farseek series, started out with Scarlet, a human finding a Solmatu or lifemate with a Farseekians named Pyrr. The story began with their first meeting and was going really well. Then the book seem to repeat a lot from book one, which took away from the originality from book two. It does get better from there and gives them their happy for now ending. Book two was only about 45 percent of the book, the rest was another story by a different author that had been in the back of book one, it really was not something I would normally read. It had more space in the book than the actual story. I am very happy I borrowed both books through KU, I liked the book one, and book two was okay, I won't be looking for book three if there is one.
