I was on Farseek when the Sargans bombed our planet. Taken prisoner, I was sold as a slave. They soon discovered a warrior from the Farseek Brigade didn’t make a very good slave. My rebellion landed me on their prison planet, fighting in the pits. I nearly gave into despair before my unit came to break me out.
When I got to my ship, I learned they had turned mercenary and were rescuing everyone they could, whether they came from Farseek or not. My soulmate---solmatu---Zoey, was one of them.

Like most rescues from Julconi, Argen was dressed in rags and so dirty I wasn’t sure of his skin color. He came to my table, took my hand and told me I was solmatu. The attraction between us almost crackles.
We had both lost everything we loved but finding each other gave us a new purpose. As we were rescued, we would help the Farseek mercenaries save others and hope we could return to Farseek with them and make a life together there.

    What a spicy tale!
    The people on Earth and many other planets are being captured and taken to new planets as slaves.
    Argen of Farseek was away, protecting the Consortium. He returns to Farseek just in time for the Sargans attack, in which Argen was captured. He was taken to their ship. He had no idea if his mother had died or was also taken and sold as a slave to one of the many planets who depended on slaves to support their lifestyle.
    He ends up being tossed in a pit to fight others on a prison planet. He’s very good at it. His rage at the loss of family and world tears at his soul. Then to his shock, a fellow soldier from his past shows up and declares the Dreads are coming and they are here to save as many as they can before the Dreads arrive.
    And just like that, Argen has a purpose and point to his life again. He can be a warrior again. Once on the ship, Kureillis, he discovers his soul-mate. When they met, the sexual feelings are generously expressed. The Earth girl wanted to take it slow, but the pull between them was scorching hot. And they give into the inevitable need to be lifetime mates pretty fast. While explicit, the sex scenes are done tastefully, however, the main story is about the various people being enslaved.
    If we ever do learn to travel the universes, we will probably meet people just like these. Some good and some rotten to the core, grabbing everything they can get, and enslaving people who lacked the ability to protect themselves.

    The Farseeker Brigade and their adventure has a happy ending for all the human mates and their Farseeker mates. Great ending and summary of all the couples five years later. Feel good ending.
