Too many people of all ages are constantly bullied. This needs to stop and for this reason, 25% of the proceeds from all sales of this book will go directly to the It Gets Better Project. (http://www.itgetsbetter.org/)
Far too many people are committing suicide because of the way they are treated, bullied and simply because of their sexuality for various reasons and causes. For this reason, 25% of the proceeds from all sales of this book will go directly to The Trevor Project. (http://www.thetrevorproject.org/)
I have watched a few too many friends and even strangers suffer because of HIV and AIDS and even more pass away, their lives cut short by an illness that ravages everything it touches. For this reason, 25% of the proceeds from all sales of this book will go directly to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. (http://www.broadwaycares.org/)
A good many of our authors, including us here at LBE, have pets of all types. Every single pet that Rondal and I (Patrick) have ever had has been a rescue from one source or another. We view our pets as living beings, not things to be owned or possessed though they possess our love and hearts and us theirs. Lazy Beagle Entertainment was named such because of our twin Beagle Boys named Archie Goodwin and Nero Wolfe. Archie passed away on March 9, 2013 after a five year battle from complications due to cancer. Animals are children in a way and we view them as such. No animal deserves to be treated cruelly or like a possession. For this reason, 25% of the proceeds from all sales of this book will go directly to The Humane Society of the United States. (http://www.humanesociety.org/)
All 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this book will be going directly to these four charities. None of the authors, Lazy Beagle Entertainment, Rondal or Patrick will receive any profit. (Unfortunately we can’t stop the companies selling the book from receiving a profit when they sell the book.) You may also donate directly to these charities by accessing their websites.

Andrea Speed may or may not be the cloned remnant of an adventurer lost in a time tunnel disguised as a Herfy's in downtown Twisp. Seattle born and currently Tacoma based, she thanks you for reading this, as it is incredibly awkward to write a biography in this tone of voice. It helps if you imagine Peter Graves saying this. If you enjoy her jackassery, make sure to check out andreaspeed.com . Know that each reader is loved and appreciated, and gets a free online hug. (Note: Not redeemable in person, or Tennessee, where they don't go for that girly stuff.) Oh, and Infected: Freefall won a 2012 Rainbow Award. Woohoo!
Because Charlie Cochrane couldn't be trusted to do anything grown up, she writes cosy mysteries. These include the Edwardian era Cambridge Fellows series, the contemporary Lindenshaw Mysteries and her 1950s Alasdair and Toby series where two actors play Holmes and Watson both onscreen and off. Multi-published, she has titles with Carina, Riptide, Lume, and Williams and Whiting.
Charlie is a member of the Crime Writers’ Association, Mystery People and International Thriller Writers Inc, and has regularly appeared at literary festivals, reader conventions and author conferences.
"Novelist&Poet. Translator&Blogger. Photographer&PhotoModel. DigitalArtist&CatLover. Lara Biyuts the Silver Thread Spinner." "Live & Learn. I learn what I need and share what I know for certain." A voracious reader in the past, she is author of 8 books of fiction. Too selective to her native literature and pop-culture, she loves books by some great and not so great writers--Chekhov, Nabokov, Oscar Wilde, Ronald Firbank, Evelyn Waugh, W. Somerset Maugham, Plato, Petronius, Martial, John Dickson Carr, Rex Stout--feeling thankful to 2 books: "Memoirs of Hadrian" by Marguerite Yourcenar and "Beloved and God: The Story of Hadrian and Antinous" by Royston Lambert. Her blog Revue Blanche is about the joy of creativity, beauty of originality, power of curiosity, wonder of diversity, and the delight of imagination, limited by the small circle of her interests. See the list of all self-published books at Lara's portfolio on SmashWords. Note: Lara's given name derivatives and diminutives permitted to use other pen-names in the past.

Whether you’re looking for a heart-pounding romantic suspense or a deeply emotional love story, Susan’s portfolio has something for everyone.

Personal Touch: Fun Facts About Susan
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Susan is a person of diverse interests and experiences. Her leisure activities include lazing with a good book, enjoying a fine gin and tonic, and watching reruns of ‘Silent Witness.’

Patrick Wendling-Markwell has been writing since he was a child and has written many newspaper and magazine articles as well as poetry and short stories. It was only recently though that he decided to write books full time, leaving behind a career in EMS. As an author he has decided to try his hand in many genres from fantasy, thrillers, horror, mysteries and more. He has won many awards over the years for his articles and you can even find several of his poems at the International Library of Congress where he won the Editor's Choice Award three years in a row.
He has a love for books of all types and was even diagnosed by a psychiatrist as a Bibliophile and Bibliophage. On any given day Patrick can be found reading, even while doing other things at the same time. His flair for words has continually allowed people from around the world to access the vivid imaginings of his own mind which he enjoys putting down on paper for all to see and helps them access a world of fantasy and crazed imagination never before accessed.
He is also lucky enough to be married to a wonderful man that wants him to write full time, concentrating fully on it so he can fulfill his dream.
Currently Patrick is continuing to read and write daily and is happily legally married to his husband Rondal D. Markwell. They share their lives with two fat and lazy beagles, Archie and Nero. (Archie has since passed away on March 9, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.) He is also the Co-Owner and one of the founders of Lazy Beagle Entertainment.
C. J. Baty lives in southwest Ohio. Her heart however, lives in the mountains of Tennessee where she hopes to retire some day. The mountains have always provided her with inspiration and a soothing balm to the stresses of everyday life.
The dream of writing her own stories started in high school but was left on the back burner of life until her son introduced her to fan fiction and encouraged her to give it a try. She found that her passion for telling a story was still there and writing them down to share with others was much more thrilling than she had ever expected.
She has a loving and supportive family who doesn't mind fixing their own meals when she is in the middle of a story. And a network of friends, who have encouraged and cheered her on in her quest of being an author.
One thing she has learned from life and she is often heard to say is: “You are never too old to follow your dream!”
Lazy Beagle Charity projects are brought to you by Lazy Beagle Entertainment and the gracious authors of Lazy Beagle that donate their works for charity. Founded by Patrick Wendling-Markwell and husband Rondal Markwell Lazy Beagle has one goal, and that is to promote authors and their work, and the charity book projects are a way for authors to give. All proceeds go to the charities named in the book, there are no administrative fees or other fees. Many of the authors donate time in editing, money in artwork and cover designs, so that all the proceeds can go to charity.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2014This book is full of fantastic short stories and recipes. Those were my favorite sections, but it also included some original poetry and some though provoking essays. I gave this book five stars because of the amount of effort that clearly went into this. The editing was above par and the book is organized into sections that make it easy to return for a reference. I will be making Ice Cream Bread before the week is out!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2014This book has something for everyone and every mood. From the feel good to the thrill you good this book delivered. It even has some recipes in it! How's that for a nice surprise. Good fiction and good food.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2014I bought this book because the other 2 reviews gave this a 5 star. Well, this book is not for everyone. It's a collection of short stories and poems. But they are boring and unimaginative. More than half the stories I've read before in other books. Nothing new. Stick to writing kids books because you'd probably do better.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2016This is a wonderful collection that benefits 4 different charities.
Horror, romance, optimism, hate, murder, forgiveness, revenge, tenderness, bullying. Everything from one end of the spectrum to another.
A great introduction to authors you maybe haven't read before. I especially enjoyed the entries by; Jeff Atkins, Charlie Cochrane, Heather Greenis, Arianna Paige, Angel Martinez, Caitlin Ricci, Pelaam, C.J. Katy, Robert W. Walker, John L. Monk, Andrea Speed, Roberta Goodman, J.A. Harmon, Patricia Logan, Simon Oliver and Tena Coleman-Dupree.
I highly recommend it!
