The Nanny and the Alien Warrior (Treasured by the Alien Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 3,775 ratings

Can an alien warrior who has given up hope find a new future with the woman and child who need him?

Joanna is snatched away from her peaceful academic life and sold to K’herr, a forbidding alien warlord. To her relief, he only wants her as a caretaker for his precocious daughter, Sultavi.

A year later, Lord K’herr is dead, and Joanna and Sultavi are on the run from his killers. Their only hope is to locate a down-on-his-luck mercenary who owes K’herr a debt of honor. Joanna doesn’t expect to find a massive green warrior with the saddest eyes she’s ever seen.

Craxan lost his family and his future in the great plague that decimated the Cire race. Since then, he’s led a hollow life using his warrior skills for anyone who can pay.

When the daughter of an old acquaintance appears, demanding his assistance, he reluctantly agrees to help her. But the delightful little girl - and the enchanting human female who accompanies her - quickly win him over.

He promises to take them to safety, but the more time he spends with them, the more he is convinced that they belong with him. He finally has a cause worth fighting for - but even if he can keep them safe from their enemies, what does a worn-out warrior have to offer?

Each book in the Treasured by the Alien series can be read as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy HEA is intended for adults only.

This series is one of my favorites and I have read all the other books twice. This book has stayed true to the theme of earth women kidnapped for slavery/ breeding and then rescued by an honorable Cire warrior. There is plenty of action and danger for Craxen and Johanna. The little girl, Sultavi, is adorable as expected but not sickeningly sweet. There are a lot of characters in this one and you are not always sure who to trust. True to this series there are lots of mini subplots and back stories that help flesh out the characters. Please keep this series of strong women/Moms coming and the sexy one- woman-only Cire males with them!!!

I definitely enjoyed this installment! There was more movement and some paths from other books crossed here showing that is fast as the universe is, it's also a very small place. It holds true to the existence of the maiden the mother and the crone in all of societies in all of species.

Now, this is an hea story, but it does touch on some of the more brutal and bass realities of a series built on kidnapping females. The author handled it fairly well, considering the topic and the forum. Those Acts were not glorified or sexualized in a positive way because they weren't positive actions.

Great book with grit, loss, survival, and true love. This was a good story about a human woman who had lost her home, been sold into slavery, but found the love of the girl she was caring for. Then she and the small girl are forced to run for their lives. They are saved by a warrior that is just as lost and lonely as they are. Finding a mate and love when they least expect it.
The supporting characters are all well rounded and add a great dimension to the storyline.

    Great addition to the series.

I Absolutely Live all of these stories, and thus was no different !! I love the descriptions and the way the story flows and develops is different every time !!
In this story, Joanne , A professor at a college, and has been kidnapped by aliens !!
She ends up becoming a nanny for a wealthy House . Circumstances lead a Cire male to her and her charge, in order to help them off planet.
And that infamous tail of Craxan's was very funny in its single minded determination :+)))
Lots of laughter, and some scary parts mixed in with a Whole lot of Love is what makes this girl happy !!! Also get to meet some old friends , and what can be better then that ??
This was a terrific read , and I am looking forward to the next book in thus series !!

This is a wonderful love story in a series that successfully combines a common theme in a common Galaxy but can be enjoyed by its self. Yet another Ciri warrior bites the dust in terms of the game of mateship. But the stakes are higher as well as the rewards when an internal coup forces an enslaved Human nanny (Joanna) and her Allikan charge (Sultavi), the future leader of the House of Sodon, into exile, trying to keep ahead of the dead squads who are looking for them.

I found the plot to be hardly original, but it redeemed itself by being quite lively with very intriguing characters including one space pirate captain, his grandmother the grumpy cook, an untrustworthy cargo master, a youth seeking to escape the ravages of the Red Death on his planet, and a few other previous known characters from this universe's previous tales. I found myself highly entertained without excruciating suspense or the boredom of having been there done that before.

I'm looking forward to more from this series!

This book is really worth getting. I enjoyed the development of the plot and the characters. You have to like this genre like I do but the characters were very interesting. I hope Honey Phillips does a follow-up to it.

I‘m really loving this series, it’s got the whole mate between species thing and the added Bonus of instant families. Nothing I love more than reading about an Alpha going Gaga over a cute baby or in this case adorable little girl.
