Sometimes awesome people suffer the price if personal success arrives and go their own ways - unless their bond is solid.
First, I must convey the strong and talented Tamara Ferguson made me want to move to Crystal Point and live with the Giordano family to participate with the renovations of their conservatory during my travels through her bestseller Two Hearts Reconnaissance. I would also love for this couple to take care of me, the way they took care of Harry and his little sister (in theory) Amy.
And this is just the beginning.
While trying to rescue drowning puppies (thrown in the river by his evil foster brother) Harry ‘borrows’ a boat from the dock at Crystal River and is in such a hurry to rescue the puppies, he doesn’t see the craft already has a passenger aboard – this is how he meets Eve. They are both thirteen and have been in the foster system all their lives, but Harry is about to be gifted the ultimate rescue – a family he can count on with Lucy and Gabe Giordano. Maybe even a lifelong partner.
Eve has had her share of trauma as well but is about to blossom under the guidance and love of her biological mother Danielle, married to Jake (and a Grammy Award-winning vocalist), who didn’t know her child survived. How she finds her daughter remains part of the mystery...
The plot thickens – (Sorry for the cliche), but there’s been a horrific human trafficking ring under investigation in Crystal Rock for a while now, and Jake, soon to be his mentor, has also experienced the ordeals of foster care and abuse which he sees Harry has suffered – so Jake gets it. Danielle and Jake immediately submit an emergency placement plea for Harry and the little girl called Amy because the foster parents are missing, and this sensitive tale explodes from there.
As Harry and Eve grow closer during their teen years, the paths they choose to travel aren’t always physically linked, but their spirituality and passion for each other never falter.
Until…
Two Hearts Reconnaissance is a gripping action-packed, honorable, and remarkable story starring a host of lovable characters (except for the bad guys) that will render the reader an emotional journey that never lets up. When quite a few familiar treasured friends of mine from other novels of Ms. Ferguson’s join forces, it’s like “Whoa.”
The mysteries surrounding Harry, Eve, and Amy’s backgrounds, a murder investigation, and the human trafficking/abuse of foster care children is a terrible proposition because sadly these things do happen in reality - but there’s so much positivity and compassion along the way, you are never reading the story without hope. You, the reader will also surrender to the outstanding prose Ms. Ferguson is so famous for, as I have.
My recommendation? Travel to the Dragonfly Pointe Inn and embrace the world of a Tamara Ferguson novel. Five golden stars awarded for Two Hearts Reconnaissance for a thoroughly awesome read. It will leave you breathless
