Soul Savers Boxset: Books 1-3 New Adult Romantic Fantasy Series Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 343 ratings

This box set delivers the first three books in the addictive, award-winning and best-selling Soul Savers series with over 1 million books read.

A Demon’s Promise

When Alexis Ames is attacked by creatures that can't be real, she decides it's time she learns who she really is, with or without the help of her mother, who guards their family's secrets closely. After meeting the inhumanly attractive, multi-talented Tristan Knight, however, Alexis retreats behind her façade of normalcy...until she discovers he's not exactly normal either. Then their secrets begin to unravel.

Their union brings hope and promise to her family's secret society, the Angels' army, and to the future of mankind. But it also incites a dangerous pursuit by the enemy - Satan's minions and Tristan's creators. After all, Alexis and Tristan are a match made in Heaven and in Hell.

An Angel’s Purpose

Lost in despair, Alexis teeters on the edge of an abyss, her lifeline of hope fraying into a thin thread. If it snaps, she’ll plunge into complete darkness. With the help of her son and her writing, she’s been able to hold on. Until now. Erratic impulses, disturbing delusions and her own demonic blood threaten her sanity. When she’s forced to choose between hanging onto hope or letting go to serve her Amadis purposes, she faces a decision with inconceivable sacrifices.

Alexis runs to the one place she thinks will provide answers, only to find herself at the center of another battle of good versus evil, not only with the Daemoni, not only within herself…but also against the worst opponent imaginable. But even if she wins, what will she lose?

Dangerous Devotion

Now that she’s received her extraordinary powers, Alexis has much to learn about her new life, her new world, and the people in it—vampires, mages, shifters, and more. Nothing is what it seems on the surface, including the matriarch’s council members, who are hardly different than their human counterparts—seedy, power-hungry, greedy politicians. Alexis’s first assignment is to use her gifts to identify the traitor who lurks among the council. Not an easy task when she learns that everybody’s hiding secrets, including information about a girl who just might be her daughter.

When the enemy attacks, Alexis and her family are forced to run, so they set out to find the girl who might offer hope for the future. But the search for answers leads only to the revelation of more betrayals by those closest to Alexis. Her devotion is put to the test—devotion to her husband, to her family, to her people, and to her beliefs—leaving her to question whom she's fighting for and why she should even bother. But if she won't fight . . . who will?

I could not stop reading these books. I am sixty five years old and have always! Love this type of book. You have a way for writing where your characters come to life and keep the reader on the edge of their chair and can not put the book down!

    Thank you for being awesome!

Great take on the angels and their role in our lives. The characters are very real and well developed. Story line is well developed and quite rich in detail and holds your attention from start to the end of each book.

Finished books but not interesting enough to keep reading. Feel like story could and should have progressed much quicker. Felt plot line to be overly dramatic. Author used too many supernatural characters with no real reason other than just because.

Can't get enough of this series!! Read the box set with the first 3 book and just got book 4 cause I'm beyond obsessed!!!

Downloaded for free (this is why two stars vs one) with a bunch of others, and didn't remember much other than one less than thrilled review, mentioning problem things that didn't put me off at all. (More supernatural beings, too long, dramatic.) Unfortunately those are not what turned this into a DNF bundle.

    -Spoilers-

First issue was how horrible MC treated the MMC after finding out he wasn't exactly human. All her life experiences apparently have taught this girl NOTHING. Very cruel to him, and he hadn't done anything except help her live. She also spends most of the book drooling hard over the physical appearance of the MMC.

Bored in a college class, she bonds with MMC over insulting the teacher. Teacher, who had done nothing except apparently bore them. Again, pretty clear life experiences that she HAD and just ignores about how to treat people in general.

So I was thinking this is a terrible YA series, terrible because the above isn't the sort of thing to encourage in young readers. I've read smutty messes that had a better set of messages. MC never listens to anything anyone tells her, and just jumps to all kinds of radical conclusions, blames everyone else for any problem or life change, pays no attention to warnings, causing damage everywhere she goes. That no one is being forthcoming with her isn't really an excuse.

One of the complete reverse emotional messes she does, is trying to get the MMC to forgive her and not leave, after a week long hate jag against him. Main plan involves barging into his home, telling him how much he obviously loves her, and stripping down to shove her body in his face. Delightful. I felt bad pretty much the entire book for the MMC.

Then there is an open door kinda sad sex scene I skimmed, after marriage. (Also, apparently they had decided on no children right away, but skipped BC. Tada, preg.) I can't imagine who these books are for. An adult who likes very shallow characters, lots of studying books, sitting, admiring random things, and no story action?

Plus loads of no one can't tell MC anything because it's a serious thing to give MC any info before some event that may happen when she's 40. Yet suddenly start giving her info with each outside danger, at the age of 18/19. Info she would have needed anyway to make life long decisions, so the restriction and then reveals appeal extremely illogical. In the beginning it seemed like it would be an interesting mystery, but by the end...the only person still clueless is MC. Not the readers. It's not like reveals were happening out of her sight/hearing.

Somewhere in the last chapter, which did in theory finally start the action, but badly, I gave up. Action scenes with tons of wailing love angst is not enjoyable. Especially when it's clear people who bought these books as singles got handed this mess as the not really an ending to book one.

Looked up the single releases, and saw reviews that basically covered my issues with book one. Checked the next one to see if it somehow became worth reading, and found that it reputedly gets worse. MC neglects her child for SEVEN years, has her mom raising the child, and stays in full angry depression status. Then is reunited with MMC and doesn't change her behavior with her son, simply stops being depressed because love/sex.

    No thank you.

I read this entire series awhile ago and you just can't put these books down. One book to the next, the series just grabs the reader and you can't wait until you get to the next story. This is a series not to be missed!

Absolutely have been sucked in by these first three books. I felt in the 2nd and third books the storyline was becoming obvious and I could see who the bad guy was. I was wrong. The plot twist was beautiful. I'm invested in these characters and their stories now. I just have to read more.
