- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2024This book is a collection of mystical tales. They are engrossing to read!
The ‘Piano’ tale has a lingering effect. The ‘Teddy Bear’ story is striking and engaging and the ‘Witch’ tale is enchanting and delves on the issues of disappearances. It touches on the current crime, family and social issues needing attention.
The narratives are easy flowing and play well on the mysterious aspect of the tales. It keeps the reader absorbed and involved while the authors cleverly find their way to conclude the stories.
I enjoyed reading this book!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2024"Paranormal Mysteries" is a compelling collection of three standalone novellas that perfectly blend the paranormal with mystery, making it an ideal read for teens.
The first story features a witch investigating mysterious disappearances, using subtle clues to solve the puzzle.
The second centers on a young girl whose sudden musical prodigy is unraveled by a hidden letter inside an old piano, blending everyday life with supernatural elements.
The third novella tells the sentimental journey of a large teddy bear, exploring themes of growth and loss.
Each story is thoughtfully crafted, offering both suspense and emotional depth, making this anthology a great pick for young readers fascinated by the mysterious and the unexplained.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2021This book contains three stand alone stories about a mysterious piano, a teddy bear, and a good witch who takes on a dark fairy.
All three novellas were fun but my favorite was the story of the mysterious piano and the affect it has on its new owner (a young girl) and how her abilities go from that of a beginner to a concert pianist.
The teddy bear is not your typical stuffed animal and the dark fairy does what dark fairies do:)
This book is geared for teens but I would also add the young at heart. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories and recommend them for anyone looking to sink into escapism. The well-written novellas are fun, easy reads.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2021I really enjoyed all three novellas in this book, but my favorite was “The Piano”. The storytelling was brilliant, and really sucked me in. The Piano is about a young lady whose parents buy a second-hand piano from an estate sale. Elizabeth sits down and starts to play like she’s born to it. The only problem is that she finds a mysterious letter from the previous owner asking for help in solving her murder.
The second story is about a protective teddy bear who winds up helping a college girl and her mom get rid of a bad boyfriend. I found that story kind of dark and disturbing, like Edgar Allan Poe stepped in while the author was writing it, and there are touches of darkness in the first and last stories too.
The third story is about a coven of witches who team up to go undercover to investigate the dark magic of a rogue fairy who is responsible for a pattern of abductions. While the first story was my favorite, I really enjoyed reading about the witch vs fairy, especially at the end. This is a book geared towards young adults, and I am much older than that, but I would happily recommend this book to lovers of mysteries and magic!
Big five stars for incredible storytelling, and she made the characters all come to life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting collection of three fast paced stories
Read this with my nephew, who is 16. We both liked it. The stories are faced paced, not too hard to follow and really entertaining.
The variety in the stories and associated characters makes this a great gift for most teens: First we have a girl who finds that her piano was previously owned by a woman whose murder is unsolved. Next, we have a teddy is dealing with abandonment after its owners have grown up. Lastly, we have a captivating story involving magical fairies.
