Bobby Martin has become an incredible writer. His latest book about September 11 is about as real as you can get. These are honest stories from the heros that were actually on the ground and saved the lives of countless people. I could feel the hair stand up on the back of my neck reading this book and remembering what we went through that day. This book is a must read for everyone, especially today, after we swore we never forget but it seems the country has forgotten!

Bob Martin retired in 2000 from the NYPD as a Deputy Inspector. 9/11 Remembered Twenty Years Later recounts the unbelievably horrific experiences when he and his former colleagues rescued and resuscitated civilians and fellow law enforcement personnel on September 11th, 2001. The stories are tragic and make us cry. Martin asked fellow cops to share their stories. These descriptions are as vivid as they are tragic. 9/11 Remembered Twenty Years Later reminds us that all of those who wear the badge were heroes that day and that they are always ready to protect and serve, even in a less-than-graceful environment.

Bob Martin has crafted a book that should be mandatory reading at all schools. I remember that after September eleventh all Americans were waving flags and thanking first responders. How soon we forgot; now people are spitting on cops and firemen. Bob's book reminds us how those men and women sacrificed their lives in service to our nation. A Must-Read Book!! God Bless our Heroes!

Bob Martin's book is one that I cannot recommend enthusiastically enough. It is always passionate but never preachy. It is a tribute to the men and women, whether he knew them personally or not, with whom he served and whose paths he crossed during a career of thirty-two years spent in the service and protection of the people of New York City as a member of the NYPD.
