Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️[ 5 of 5 stars ]5-Star Review on Goodreads: In a world in which little girl leprechauns do exist, Annabelle Shoemaker unintentionally breaks some boundaries when she finds herself stranded in one of the largest cities in the world. Trying to be the leprechaun she knows herself to be, to carry on her family's tradition, she sets out to become a shoemaker. With wonderful friendships and some humorous innuendos that will leave parents chuckling as they read this to their children, The Little Shoemaker's Silver doesn't fail to supply a happy ending and provide some inspiration to child immigrants and children with disabilities along the way.

About the Author

Ben is an American author and attended a federal service academy, serving in the Navy during the first Persian Gulf War. He has traveled to twenty-five countries on four continents, has two undergrad degrees, and an MBA in Global Management. When he isn't writing fables for George to illustrate, he writes fantasy novels, comic book stories, and screenplays. He teaches English and minored in creative writing in one of his undergrad degrees. Ben has a daughter whose favorite holiday is St. Patrick's Day. There were no stories about little girl leprechauns when his daughter was growing up and so he writes these picture book fables so that one day her children will have stories to inspire them.

🍀BOOK REVIEW / “The Little Shoemaker’s Silver”/ Ben Wolfe🥾  ___ Genre: Fable Pages: 33 Language: English Illustration: George Jung Publisher: Kindle Edition Release date: 2020 _____ 🥾Reading this book was like being a pair of shoes that nobody wants to buy until one girl does her best to make this pair of shoes adorable and competitive to be bought. ____ 🥾The Plot:  Amazing fable about Leprechaun girl Annabelle, who decides to prove that you can do brilliantly what you love, despite the fact you are born for another purpose and destined for another job. Living in Ireland in a family of Shoemakers little Annabelle accidentally gets trapped into a man’s suitcase and finds herself in New York, where she is about to prove that baking delicious pies isn’t for her, she is fated to become great in something else. ____ 🥾The Writing Style: I read other books by this writer in the fantasy genre. Without any hesitation, I can say that this writer is incredibly talented as he managed to create an adorable fairytale that grabbed my son’s attention from the first pages. Quick-paced, easy and enjoyable writing style with lots of humorous, motivational, educational and wise moments. ____ 🥾The Characters: The characters aren’t numerous. All of them are perfectly described for kids. The captivating plot is brilliantly accompanied by marvelous illustrations by George Jung. _____ 🥾My Favorite Quote: “My first wish is for you to stay true to yourself. Decide you want to do something and then don’t let anyone say you can’t” _____ 🥾Would I read other books by this author: Yeap! ____ 🥾My humble rating is: 5/5 _____ 👦🏽P.S. I was reading it with my 5 y.o. son and he enjoyed reading it. He was curiously peering at a pair of shoes that were not good, asking me whether it is possible to wear shoes of different sizes. I just rephrased his words at the beginning of the review. He said something like: ‘If I were such a pair of shoes, I should be taken to a cobbler to be improved”. ____ #TheLittleShoemakersSilver #writerslife #AmReading #bookreview #bookishlovegroup #unitedbookstagram #bookstagram #betterreadschallenge

Very imaginative and different from what I usually read. If I had young kids, I’d read them this. Hoping to see more from you.

A cute fairy tale about a girl who makes shoes. The message is an intro in woman's emancipation. Girls are not here only to make pies. They can work like boys and earn money. The end comes a little quickly. I would like to know how she spent her gold.

This is a cute story with fun illustrations that children of all ages will love. It's a take on a few of the fables of old but updated a bit. I think the tale will be a cherished addition to a child's library. Children will love the illustrations that add so much to an already clever story.
