    Wow! What a great story by Abbie! This story is basically a second chance at love story since it started when Matt and Haley were in high school but it was Hayley was the one who ghosted Matt! Fifteen years later they are reunited ad Hayley made her way back home to bring her brother and his friends down. As the story makes it way to a dramatic conclusion, we find this couple find their croie in each other! Gotta love the happy ending for everyone involved with Sanctuary and the town of Sumneyville. FANTASTIC job Abbie! I would recommend this book and this series!

    Congratulation! Love this series, so this book was the long awaited finale. The author delivers with characters and storyline. Strong women, love story and answers to all the questions we were asking ourselves in previous books about what’s going on in this town, who else is in the bad side or has secrets in the closet.
    The end fell a tiny bit flat for me. Not sure why.
    Either way, love Abbie’s books and can’t wait for the next.

    Since a mystery character came out in this story at the end (I’m trying hard for no spoilers here 😃), I’m curious if we can expect this person coming up in another series or part of a new one? 👏

Circumstances have kept them apart. Hayley will return to her home town to finally face her demons and possible see Winston again. This story is filled with suspense, angst, sexy time and answers. Zanders pulls everything together and it's a beautiful story.     This has been a brilliant series, each book a little different but, taking nothing away from the others, I truly think Abbie Zanders has saved the best for last with Prodigal Son. We have come full circle with Matt's story, he returned home to Sumneyville where he lost so much to create Sanctuary with his team as a safe haven for former military to heal and adjust. Matt has also never forgotten his first love Haley Freed who disappeared from his life without a trace so many years ago and now she is back in town looking for answers of her own into what is going on. I loved the instant rekindling of Matt and Haley's relationship as they work together along with the Sanctuary Team and the Callaghans to dismantle and take down the evil at the heart of Sumneyville. Deputy Marshall Haley Freed is a force to be reckoned with and definitely a favourite character, I love her way of stirring things up in town and her strong personality is the perfect foil for Matt. Matt is loyal and steadfast and strong enough to know he can stand shoulder to shoulder to Haley not in front of her no matter how much he wants to. Also love the story of his nickname, that made me laugh out loud!
    Superb job of tying up all the loose ends and I am so glad now we had to wait to find out all the mysteries of Sumneyville and we still managed to get more twists and turns that you won't see coming. Full of action and suspense, humour, heat, a truly enjoyable and satisfying read. Thank you Abbie Zanders for this wonderful series, I'm going to miss the mysteries of the unique Sumneyville.
    I definitely recommend this story but don't just read Prodigal Son read all of the Sanctuary series, you won't regret it!

    Abbie really hasn’t let us down, she did a great job in bringing together these characters we’ve heard about in so many of the other books in the series and giving them a good ending.

    I felt it could have done a little more towards the end, it’s hard to say more without spoilers but that minor missing scene does not take away from the brilliant writing and storytelling which Abbie uses to bring us into her world. I love these books and am looking forward to rereading the whole series.
