Butterfly Wings Kindle Edition

4.9 out of 5 stars 10 ratings

Poetry that makes you feel the wind under your wings again.

A book that takes you through the emotions of life and helps to use that pain to rebuild your wings once again. Broken down into three sections – love, pain and believe. The poems are written by the author to create an emotional connection to how every feeling is valid and how it is possible to overcome the difficult ones while enjoying the happy ones. The theme of the butterfly is used to represent the invisible wings we all possess but need to learn to spread them more often and fly freely.

PAIN
pain can come in many forms, and it is most definitely more than just heartbreak. pain can be because of lost love or of love that was never found or of one that was never accepted in return. pain can be not only physical but emotional and
mental. it comes when your wishes and hopes are crushed or not recognized or returned equally to you by the ones that you hold
dearest to your heart. it comes when you try so hard and can't reach that goal. it comes in many forms during many different stages in life.

LET GO

free yourself of the pain of holding on
remember,
if you hold a rope that's pulling away
it is your hands that will be left with burns
remember,
forgiving helps heal you
and hurts no one else
remember,
and when you let go
you only free yourself

From the Back Cover

This is a book that will carry you through the emotions that I have gone through personally or felt through others.

It took a long time for me to realize these emotions were not just special to me - I was not alone in any of them. We all feel them, we all share them.

I felt at ease writing out my memories and emotions - it remined me of all the love I had around me, it helped me let go of so much that I had been holding on for too long and I found it easier just to have hope and believe again.

I hope reading these poems does the same for you.

Only a good poet can efficiently express their true feelings. Well done. You did just that.

Kasthuri's series of love poems makes us feel what it's like to love with your whole heart. Her writing shows the power of love and the devastation it can leave in its wake.

    What a beautiful read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Book - Love the poems
Reviewed in Canada on July 16, 2021
When I came across this book, it caught my attention. I bought it thinking that I would read it in the future. As soon as I got the book, it made me read it right away. I started reading few poems and I immediately started to love the book. I couldn’t put it away. I started to read one poem after another and it somehow I was able to connect with some of the poems. It connects to our life in a special way. I was also able to see few things from the author’s point of you. I love all of the poems, Reminisce, Escape and The Glass Box are few of my favourites. Love the book and I would definitely recommend people to buy it. I bought few to give out to my friends and family as a gift as well. Definitely will be following this author to see more of her work. I don’t want to miss any future reads/books from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST READ
Reviewed in Canada on August 7, 2021
I have read this book twice now and both times took me on an absolutely amazing journey. The author had me completely hooked just within the first couple poems and it is very clear that they have put a piece of themselves in this book. Every poem has a meaningful message and the majority of them had me revisiting and reevaluating situations in my personal life. I am genuinely excited to stumble across and reread this book in the future.
