Trilby plants was hooked on books, when, as a preschooler, her mother read her Gulliver's Travels. There began her love of fictional worlds.

Plants writes children's books, contemporary fantasy/horror, and has co-written a romantic suspense, Double Danger.

Gatekeeper, her first novel, has been updated to lead-in to Chaos, a sequel now available on Amazon. She is terrified of spiders, and her darkest fears inhabit these books. Why spiders? Because they are creepy and giant spider creatures do horrible things to humans.

Double Danger, by Trilby Plants and Nancy Tucker is set in Michigan. It's a love story with spies, antique dealers and a kindergarten teacher on the run from bad guys, with someone she thinks is one of the good guys.

When Plants is not writing, she knits. So far she has never found a spider in her yarn stash. Just to be safe she always checks it before reaching into the box. Also, the first time in the autumn she wears a jacket it goes on the floor where she stomps all over it to be sure nothing is lurking inside it.

Check out Fire Song - To Hear the Lee-Ath Sing - Book 1. If you liked Avatar you'll enjoy reading this.

Plants is a proud member of the South Carolina Writers’ Association. She lives with her sports junkie husband in Murrells Inlet, SC, where she writes, knits and creates video book trailers and animated covers.

To make things right, Meena goes off on her own in search for a raspberry.
She happily dances along and gets lost in the forest.
It gets very dark and she cannot find her way home.
What will Meena do? Will she find a raspberry to make everything right? But more importantly, will she ever find her way home?
Learn what happens by reading the lovely story of Meena Mouse's Perfect Raspberry. You'll be fascinated with all the illustrations and certainly want to read this book over and over.

For a book with such superb illustrations, you may wish to purchase the paperback or hardcover, but even the ebook format version is high quality.

This is an excellent book kids may read by themselves or librarians, teachers, and parents can read aloud.

Like many Grandparents, we have bought many books for our Grandchildren. This became one of their favorites from the first reading. It is fun to read to them (over and over) and the illustrations are beautiful.

The story is truly one with a lesson to help children learn in a delightful way. Meena is a mouse who wants and loves raspberries. She is determined after eating the last one to bring her mom more but in the process she breaks the rules and gets lost. Lucky for her she finds her way back home and must face the consequences of her actions. I enjoyed reading this story.

Meena Mouse has run away from home after eating the raspberry that her Mom was going to use to make a tart. Lost in the forest, Meena runs into the Silver Mouse who helps her find a perfect raspberry, but will Meena be able to find her way home?

Beautifully illustrated, this book pops with vibrant backgrounds. Children everywhere will enjoy the bold, colorful world of Meena Mouse. Written with short, repetitious sentences, this book is a nice choice for parents to read to their kids. As with every good children’s book, there is a moral to be learned from Meena’s adventure.

Meena Mouse eats the last raspberry and is sent on an adventure that teaches her about responsibility and the consequences for her actions.

My little brother loved the beautifully crafted pictures and easy to follow, fun story-line. The lesson in the tale was simple for him to grasp and done in such a delightful way that he wants me to read it to him yet again. The book flowed smoothly with a few challenging words that will help any young reader to develop and grow.

We both enjoyed it and really hope there will be some more Meena Mouse books out soon. Recommended to any child between 3 and 8!

This book was so cute! My little sister loved the story and I highly recommend every child hear this story! It has a touch of older stories with a new, magical flair! I can't wait to read more work by Trillby Plants and see more beautiful illustrations by Deborah Gagnon! Hoping soon there is a stuffed animal of little Meena for my sister to hold while she sleeps!
