    This is the second book that I read by this author and like I said I will be reading more of her work in the future. One part of the book had me laughing out loud.

    Emily was an orderly at the hospital and all the nurses were talking about how wonderful Dr. D. was. They called him all kinds of names including the King of one night stands.

    Emily goes out one night and gets drunk and passes out. Dr. D. gave her a ride home. Check out the story I think you will enjoy it.

    Desmond Danielson, Dr. D., is the King of one night stands at Eastport General. Everyone knew he wasn't the serious relationship type, but they didn't care. Emily, an orderly at Eastport, wants her chance with him. Her opportunity comes when she ends up at the same bar as Desmond and he gives her a ride home. Will she be able to stick around for more than one night? This is a fun and steamy book that was a quick read. So far I am enjoying this series and am looking forward to getting inolto the next book.

    Such a cute and great story. I loved reading about Desmond “Dr. D” and Emily. They are both pretty amazing and similar in some ways but also very different and it just works. I like how the story had romance but also played out the hospital part too, it was well balanced and well written. It is the first book I’ve read from the world of Doctors of Eastport General but I will definitely be checking out the others.

    Doctor D’s Orderly Affair is a short (very quick read) about a doctor with a bad boy, one-night stand reputation and an orderly, named Emily’s romantic endeavor. I want to be able to give you a summary of this book, but I am left a little perplexed on how to write it without spoilers or confusing people. When I first chose to read this book between the summary and the front cover I was really looking forward and intrigued. I have to say I was pretty disappointed and thought if written a little more concisely and with more detail, it could have been an amazing book. As I read others' reviews of this, maybe I missed something, but I felt the read left a lot to be desired.

    At the beginning as we were learning about the characters I was truly enjoying the story, there was youth, fantasy, but also some tragedy. I really enjoyed the innocence of Emily and the tender side of Dr. D. However, the two story lines that are present, a possible mysterious sex encounter and also the doctor’s dying nephew, confused me. The confusion mainly came at the end where I think certain things felt left out - the whole journey really. Did he mend things with family, how Emily handled not seeing him for years, etc. I feel those were important chapters (that could have been done shortly), because when I got to the last chapter I was confused thinking I missed a chapter and went back to check. Nope, the author decided to just some it up quickly with little explanation in the final chapter
    .
    In addition, thinking that this was a steamy, sex story was also a little disappointing. My fantasy may be more extreme than others, but I felt there was not enough detail in the sex scene (only being one sex scene). After the vibrator scene I was really looking forward to the real sex scene and just felt not enough visualization could come from the description. I am not saying that I won’t read something from this author in the future, but this book was a little bit of a let down for me.

    Doctor D's Orderly Affair

    Doctor D’s Orderly Affair is an instalment of the Doctors of Eastport General series. This book as with the others I have read in this series is a nice qyick read. I also found that some parts of the book coyuld have been written in more detail, leaving the book short in some places. But on saying that this book was quiye enjoyable to read. Ok so in this book we follow
    Dr. D a Pediatrician who is not only loved by the children he looks after but also the women who comes in contact with him, and Emily who is an orderly at the hospital. So the handsome Dr D has a reputation around the hospital that he doesn’t like. Of course Emily knows of these rumours and the rumours are that Dr D only has one night stands. Now the question is what road will Dr D and Emily take? The road to one nights stands, or the road to something more permanent.

    This is part of the Doctors of Eastport General series and it’s the first installment I have read. What an incredibly steamy introduction indeed! It’s a quick read that introduces us to Dr. D and Emily who have incredible chemistry together. He’s practically a walking fantasy of the perfect book boyfriend but only for 24 hours. The author does an excellent job balancing romance with humor and drama, crafting engaging characters who are both relatable and larger-than-life. The writing is sharp, with plenty of moments that will make you laugh out loud or swoon at the sizzling chemistry between the characters. If you’re looking for a fun, steamy, and compelling read for your afternoon, don’t miss out on this. It will have you hooked on the series in no time at all!

    Doctor D's Orderly Affair by C.A. King is a fun, steamy romance that blends medical drama with a bit of humor, delivering an entertaining and light-hearted escape. The story revolves around Desmond “Dr. D” , a charming and charismatic doctor at Eastport General, and his relationship with Emily. The chemistry between Dr. D and Emily were palpable. This was a quick short read for me and I loved every bit of it. Their interactions are playful and flirtatious, with a perfect mix of humor and passion, which makes for an engaging reading experience. A great addition to the series. Looking forward to more from this author.

    A blend of spice, comedy and romance with all the medical aspects is perfect for this series. I am truly getting invested in this Doctors of Eastport General series. The books are all quick reads and perfect for a short getaway. I have to read them all at it makes it perfect that they are in the KU world.

    Doctor D’s Orderly Affair by C.A. King is part of the Doctors of Eastport General series- a collaboration by several different authors, each releasing their own story set in Eastport General Hospital. This is Ms. Kings short and sexy addition to the series.
    Let’s face it, if I didn’t already love Ms. King’s stories, she would have had me at sexy Doctor. This story is a (novella) tasty snack sized contemporary romance- with the presence of a much larger novel. We meet Doctor D, and follow along as he meets Emily and sparks fly. What happens makes for a fun read.
    Now I am excited to check out the other books in this series and see what they have in store for us.

    Confusing at times, jumps .. without trying to ruin story she’s training to be nurse ok … he’s doctor with reputation and sick nephew gone … what’s wrong with nephew never know but needs surgery family want and expect him to have miracle cure is it essential to story line to know what’s wrong don’t know … sleeps with orderly/nurse called in for nephews surgery kid dies within minutes of starting jump back to girl she’s upset he doesn’t contact… jump to funeral family hate him and blame him … jump to who knows where and suddenly they couple meet again how long later quickly recap couple points decide they’re going to spend rest of life together… forgive but this should never have been short story/novella whatever you like to call these too many questions not enough answers and too pat with no real substance in the end and yet I see potential
