Courting Mr. Cutthroat (Campy Romances Series Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 35 ratings

Deborah Camp penned her third Campy Romance after the success of “Bedding Mr. Birdsong” and “Nailing Mr. Nasty.” Now comes “Courting Mr. Cutthroat.” Campy Romances are flirty, fun, and feature characters that are so real you’ll feel like they’re friends of yours. Come meet Cutter and Gemma...

Cutter Forsyth was a hell-raiser in his youth. He’s returned to his Georgia hometown as a noted and jaded artist, contracted to create a special sculpture to honor the Cherokee. He was Gemma Summerhill’s big crush. When they see each other again, their passionate feelings for reach other come rushing back. Cutter, however, has no interest in sticking around, and Gemma has no interest in living anywhere else. He disappeared on her before and there is every reason to believe he’ll do it again. Yet, Gemma also believes that “home” is where loves grows, and her love for Cutter knows no bounds.

Cutter and his family are wealthy and different. He and his brothers are, fortunately, not like parents. Gemma is smart, sweet, and perceptive. She is respected and loved in her community. Cutter's two brothers and their famlies are gracious and welcoming. The story of Cutter and Gemma is well written and very interesting. I felt lots of emotions reading this. I highly recmmend this book.

"Courting Mr. Cutthroat" by Deborah Camp

    My Opinion:

'Courting Mr. Cutthroat' was another excellent series by this author featuring Cutter Forsyth and Gemma Summerhill. Since high school, these two had known each other when Gemma used to Tudor him; also, she had a crush on him. Those were the old days because Cutter had left his Georgia hometown, but now he was back due to the fact he had 'created a special sculpture to honor the Cherokee.' With Cutter having no thoughts of staying in Georgia after this presentation has been made and Gemma's having no interest in living anywhere else, what will happen as there seems to be something going on between these two? Especially with Gemma believing that 'home is where love can grow and with Cutter feeling no bounds for any of it.' What will happen that will change for these two? To find out what all is going on, the reader will have to pick up this good contemporary romance and see where this author takes the reader.

Another fun story with Deborah's witty delivery. Cutter is a sexy and talented man who is haunted by his past dramas which include his attraction to Gemma. Gemma has got on with her life but holds a torch for Cutter. I thoroughly enjoy Deborah's descriptive and well developed writing. She has some very colourful characters and scenarios. Deborah is a good storyteller.

Want to smile a lot? Want to feel good inside? Want to watch and read about romance and the give/take in life? Then this cozy story is for you! Three brothers; all different, raised by nannies not parents, and, Birdie is one of those special gals. Loved her and her attitude about her special Cutter Forsyth who she refers to as her “baby” boy. Of course, it has been many years since he was a young boy but all the same she sees him as hers. Gemma was his high school friend, tutor, and, great gal who he could never forget, no matter where he lived. I loved the idea of his art; I enjoyed the specialty of his talents; and, I certainly appreciated his feelings for Gemma. Thanks to the author for writing about the beauty of “the people” and the art that depicted the joy and heart found in Cutter’s work. Amazing story-line!

This was the first romance novel I’ve ever read, and it was awesome! Tastefully hot and spicy! Reading it got my heart racing and my desires woken up. The story is not only sexy, but interesting and well-developed. It’s a genuinely good read! I love the characters as well. The plot built up the tension so well, with romance, humor, intrigue, and drama in clever, excellent balance. I definitely recommend it and look forward to reading more from the author!
