Originally from the United Kingdom, Morgan Sheppard now resides in Germany, although she freely admits to having left part of her heart in Wales. Whilst a writer mainly in the fantasy genre, Morgan is more than happy to share her love of reading amongst the many different genres out there, and can always be found with a book close by.

As well as reading and writing, Morgan spends her time looking after her family and trying to learn German. Unfortunately, a natural aptitude for languages doesn’t appear to be one of her strong points. However, stubbornness is, so she continues to persevere. So far, Morgan is confident enough to order a beer and a pretzel.

I absolutely loved this book! It’s a powerful story of a woman who sets her dream for love aside while healing from the wounds her ex just won’t stop reopening.

The character building in this novel is incredible. Cat’s two best friends, Ben and Alex, are funny, protective, and wholly there for her. I thought it was very cute how they used everyone’s wrong assumptions about their relationship to their advantage.

When Cat starts a new job, she meets Ash, who becomes a strong support for her and introduces her to other coworkers that all become a huge part of her life. As she accepts and begins to trust these new friends, she becomes more confident and ready to heal whether her ex likes it or not.

I loved how the author drew attention to some pretty big things about trauma through her discussions with Ash and her friends, such as letting others know your silent battles if it will keep you safer, despite any worry they might look at you differently. Most people just want to help, not judge. Also, that just because someone hasn’t physically assaulted you doesn’t mean they aren’t dangerous and your fear isn’t validated.

Will is a patient and accepting love interest that you can’t help but swoon over while reading. He’s mysterious at the beginning and becomes more transparent as the novel progresses along with their relationship. Their chemistry was strong and exciting to watch build.

I thought this was a beautiful story of healing, friendship, and love. I’m a sucker for a strong main character, and Cat did not disappoint. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author.

This was my first read by the author and I already know it will not be my last. Caitlin seems to have it all: amazing friends, a new job, and no interest in finding the love of her life. Life throws her a curveball in the form of Will. He appears to be Mr. Perfect. However an old ex seems to be enjoying throwing a wrench in her plans. What will Caitlin do?

I loved the plotline and the subplots. I loved how realistic the characters were written. The dialogue was real and not forced. The character development is what drew me into the story. I will recommend this read to others. I give it 5/5 Platypires.

I absolutely love this book. I love all of the author's books so never read the synopsis so I had no idea what I was diving into.

The book is very well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. She has done an amazing job portraying the characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through.

I loved the characters in this book. This book has romance, personal growth and so much more. I highly recommend it.

My first read by this author, but not my last! Also, I LOVE that this book is written without Americanization. Can we talk about the cover, beautiful!

Caitlin has had a rough few years, but a new job and the support of her two best friends have her on the path to healing. If her ex of two years gets the message, he is still causing trouble in her life. Not a problem, as Caitlin is not looking for anyone right now.

Will is one of the people she meets at her new job, intelligent and easy on the eyes. In addition, he is her boss. Will he understand she and her best friends are a package deal? I enjoyed the growth in Caitlin as she tries new experiences and confides her story to her friends. I hope we get more from this cast of characters, and we get to spend more time with them.

I received an advanced copy from the Author; this is my voluntary review.
