- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2023What a wonderful book about a friend's tribute to a dear deceased friend. This is bond between two ladies starting as a casual meeting at a retreat to a firm friendship up to one of their death's. Each holding and supporting each other through a slow death. Loved the support for each other during the end of life. Well worth time to read!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2019Short story about a friend who dies. It covers the small group of people who were there for the process and afterwards. Someone will do it for all of us. Sad and sobering but very touching.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2022Excellent book! as are all of Suzanne's books. I wish
it were longer. It is the perfect demonstration (although that is not the precise word I want) that a person needs only one true friend in their life.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2020I cried. If you've ever lost a friend, she is among the pages of this book. I hope in the end you find the peace it gave me. Thank you, Suzanne.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2017Always happy to read her stories
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2017I've always thought a good short story is so much harder to write than a full-length novel. The author has a finite amount of words and space to convey her message. Here, author Jenkins' message is heartfelt and hopeful and sad, as it should be with a piece titled "Tribute to a Dead Friend." Very well done, and I am very glad I've discovered this author. Recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2017I don't want to say too much about this story since it is short. Suzanne Jenkins manages to write an endearing tribute to a friend who had died with this story about two women and their friendship.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2019I've read books before of Suzanne Jenkins but this one will stay in my heart forever. It's emotional, spiritual and moving. Well written, great characters, a beautiful story. I can only hope to have a friendship this enduring.
P.S. Loved it so much I bought it again, even though I had read it before, I found it just as wonderful, tears and sighs. You really should read this 17 page gem!
